Sorry. Before there was Warcraft for me, there was Final Fantasy XI Online, and my teeny tiny Taru. And there was Valkurm Dunes - the first place one went to level with a group instead of soloing (and in fact it was damn near impossible to level without a group past, say, level 12). The amount of sheer stupid I saw on those sands put me off MMO deserts for life. I literally cringed my way through Tanaris and gave up on Silithus altogether because apparently MMO toon + MMO sand = very real flashbacks to, among other things, the time I was in party with a guy playing a race with the HP of dryer lint who decided that he could tank as Monk with a pair of enchanted rings, a pair of boots and no other armour to speak of. Or pantsless mages wading into melee. Or pullers who refused to give anyone time to rest for MP, combined with tanks who couldn't hold hate and thus let the healer(s) die, resulting in full party wipe. Or party leads uttering the immortal words, "Oh, we don't really need a healer; so what if no one is ( ... )
