Gah! Gorgeous! Everything! Those hand/wrist/arm warmers look like they were knit on about a size 0 needle. Love the color. I am madly in love with that car! What make and model is it? And that little guy is growing up so fast!

It's a sweater, and although it was laceweight yarn, it was knit on size 7 needles. Didn't make it any less tedious, though!

The car is a '65 Volvo 122 (aka Amazon). I can't wait to get a coat of sea-green paint on it someday, put the trim back on...I'm nervous as Hell about driving it this afternoon, though. Ha!

Wow, what a gorgeous sweater that will be/is. I just love the color. I'm right now trying to figure out how to get a couple of Spiderman designs on sweaters for each of my grandbabies. Yarn is so freaking expensive anymore, though, that I sure don't want to mess up ( ... )

Well, it's a 1965, so it's got a lot of, um...quirks. Actually, I just got it stuck on another street in the neighborhood because of one of said "quirks," but the guy we bought it from is coming over to help me out. It's just going to take a getting-to-know-you period and it will be great for commuting from the farm to the coast, but it's never going to be a city commuter car.
And I heart AAA.

And yes, Berkeley has been gentrified over the years...it is still a lovely place to explore, but more and more upscale type developments and shopping areas and such and I can't imagine I could afford to live there if I wanted to stay in the city. But, it's home and I love visiting.

Thank you, Lynn, and yes, of course, I would love to work on a project for you! Drop me a note with details whenever you're ready!

Sadly, Straw Into Gold is only wholesale now and does not have a storefront. There are still some great places to whet a crafting appetite, though...man, I do love Berkeley, but the idea of driving in the late afternoon traffic in an old car with soft brakes is giving me heart palpitations. I need to get back to the woods ASAP!
