I bought Lost Odyssey yesterday, and played pretty much the rest of the day - it feels very, very much like a Sakaguchi game - the graphics are next-gen, but the setting, gameplay, and magic-steamerpunk setting feel very much like a Final Fantasy Game from the VI-VIII era ( Read more... )

When I first saw the beginning to the TV ad, I swore it was going to be a promo for Final Fantasy XIII.

It's tempted me to think about trying to possibly put a down payment on a lottery ticket for an XBox 360.

Not to rain on your parade, but it might have been the translators and not Sakaguchi. But then again, I'm not too up on my Japanese gay double-entendres.....color me jealous, though--we all deserve a sleek, shiny game that plays like the classics.

Oh, I know localization is behind 90% of the funny. But it's still funny. =)
