I've got a Year 12 class who are struggling with getting the depth / insight of analysis that is needed for the higher bands in the categorising texts side of the exam (Spec - AQA English Language B). They're a pretty nice group but lack a little bit of motivation toward independent study. Anyway, I'm looking for good ways to help them to develop

Englishedu might be quite good - I had a subscription to the Media one for a while and found some useful stuff. Apart from that you've pretty much done everything I did. Carousel of texts? Just thinking aloud - could you get them to look at a text at a time and begin to draw similarities as they go on? Guess that would actually be quite difficult...
