Doctor's Log Five

[Watson's handwriting is a little slanted as he has to lay on his good side.]I didn't think I'd be caught in one of those. It was such a shock, after I recovered of course, to remember that it occurred at Stark Industries. I wonder if it's any coincidence that these fires are taking place in areas where they can be easily dismissed as electrical ( Read more... )

Yes, my roommate is attending to me. Normally I would do it myself, but he's...well he himself was in the fire at The Black Cat so.

[He didn't want to put words, or in this case feelings, in Holmes' mouth]

[shaky writing. injured as well]

You were at the Stark Industries fire as well?

Yes. The floor below Mr. Stark's office. I might have run into him even, but I can't remember much other than explosions and getting injured. I think I managed to save one person, but I don't know about others.

Where were you?

A few floors down. Closer to one of the explosions.

Ah, yes, I did hear multiple explosions, though I assumed they all happened on my floor. I think, no pun intended, that Stark Industries is the smoking gun for the police on that these are in fact arson fires if there were more than one explosion.

It's a shame that Mr. Stark's place of business has to be a signal. It's something we've already known for awhile.

Sleep would be better than either, Watson. [The sentence is punctuated somewhat testily.]

A drug associated with slumber, yes? [He's bringing the whiskey anyway. Skittering of nails against the floor indicate that Gladstone is following him, and it doesn't take long for Holmes to appear with a tray holding their best bottle of whiskey and two tumbler glasses. Gladstone is almost immediately at the bedside.]

"An extra visitor for you, Watson."

Watson glared down at Holmes' writing before hearing him approach his room. He closed the book and threw it onto his bedside table. He slowly sat up as his friend walked into his room. Watson smiled upon the sight of Gladstone. "Hello, boy," he said, trying his best to at least touch the top of his head. It was laborious but he managed to.

He sat back up with a sigh.

[Watson bites his lip, remembering how fragile the boy had looked while attending to him.]

It's alright, son. I make my wounds sound much more worse than they are. How are you faring in Doctor Durless's care?

[The boy's questions worried Watson]

That's what my roommate and I are trying to figure out, my boy. Don't worry too much about me or what's going on.

You're too young to be worried about this. Though, if you would like to, maybe we could have tea soon. You're more than welcome to stop by.
