Oh, my poor dear. Are you sure you should be reading something like that? I'm a great fan of literature, and the piece you've quoted is quite fine, but I'm not sure such funny passages are good for you yet.

Maybe... if that's the case then they've never been good for me.

Perhaps you simply need to explore different genres. Have you been to the library yet? It's a really handsome building, and there's all manner of things to read that aren't quite so dark.

I thought it was interesting.

...I don't have as much time to read, as I used to. The library wants them back. Faster than I can read them.

Hard to find stars in the city lights.

[An arrow to the paragraph] Gruesome. Is it all like that?

I need... out. To see the stars, but it's a long walk.

Most is. Monsters. Machines. People. The lines blur. It's gruesome.

Have you been in the city long?

Strings and wires, maybe. In part. You don't think there's something more?

No need to share such graphic passages in a place where ladies and children can read them, thank you.

It remains gruesome. I cannot imagine that they would want to open their books to see a passage such as that. Bear others in mind, if you will.

I, for one, hope it doesn't rain anytime soon, but that's just because my office tends to lead, which is a right pain in the ass.

Now, you don't believe that, do you? [with a scraggly line drawn to the last few sentences written]

[he draws some rain clouds and rain over his words:]

And I do.

That's just damn depressing. There's more to a person than the bits that keep them together.

I'm not so sure.

What's wrong with strings and wires?
