He voice startled and jumped up. "Helen?" he asked, looking around to make sure they were alone. He realized quickly enough that it had been a nightmare so he reached out to touch her arm. "It was a dream, my love."

He shifted so that he could be closer to her. He let her know that she was safe.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Sometimes people needed to purge the thoughts that haunted them but he wouldn't be offended if she wanted to keep it to herself. He was very good at hiding things as well.
