There's definitely something to this...
Religion and the things each of them believes in and how it does that literally are fiction (fiction based and spun around a couple of real people or peple having existed and some events which have taken place).

As things assumedly are to develop politically, I'd like to think and regard it that way: Well, let the US go down now from its mass of belief in whatever kind of crap. Let them stumble over/learn that you can have as much faith and believe in whatever you want, this doesn't equal that things truly are as you (want to) believe.
