admin: Schedule & Info for Round 4
Hi everybody!
We may be later than last year, but to keep to at least part of the pattern we'll (hopefully) once again have everything happening very fast.
Without further ado, here's the tentative schedule for Round 4 of the The Social Network Big Bang:
June 11-17 (Tuesday-Monday): Sign-ups (we may extend artist sign-ups a little longer depending on response)
July 14 (Sunday): 1st Check-in (optional)
August 11 (Sunday): 2nd Check-in
August 25 (Sunday): Final Check-in
September 06 (Friday): Drafts are due
September 08 (Sunday): Artist claims
October 04 11 (Friday): Final Drafts & Art due
October 07 14 (Monday): Posting begins
We've tried to stick mostly to weekend dates, to give everybody a better chance at being at home and free to come online. Unfortunately due to us being late this year we'll run into the beginning of school, my apologies for that, but I'm afraid at this point we can't avoid it unless we'd wait another 10 months for Round 4.
We'll keep the Bang two-tiered, with word minimums of either a 10k or 15k fic. Long fics don't come easy, and we want to make this Bang as accessible as possible, so we'll offer a lower minimum than most bigger fandoms do, but at the same time, a higher word minimum can work as an incentive. You can of course always go higher, no matter what you sign up for.
Your fic must be beta-read. If you don't have a beta, there will be a beta sign-up post where you can find someone whose interests overlap with yours.
This challenge will be accepting crossovers and RPF as well. The one requirement is that one part of the main pairing/the POV character must be in TSN or one of the TSN cast.
There are no pre-reqs for sign-ups. You can sign up even if you've never written a fic before! We welcome all writers and artists.
