[Shot of Adder looking into the camera, grinning crookedly. She's found the apartment she shares and is trying to get used to it. She dragged one of the blankets down and has hung it up on the wall behind her bed, where it's visible behind her. Her bed's unmade, by the way, with half the sheets pulled off.]Right. Well, I think I understand the ( Read more... )

[ Sup, Hawke. There's one (1) witchy roommate standing in front of the fireplace, arms crossed, looking none too pleased and at the same time not particularly looking displeased. (It's the carefully neutral kind of scowl.) She must have snuck in while you weren't looking (or never left; one never knows with the shapeshifters).

And without turning her attention to Adder: ]

'tis most rude, inviting company on your own whimsies like that, you know.

[Adder jumps about three feet in the air before backpeddaling, even while she whips around to look at Morrigan. How she manages not to trip is a mystery for the ages.

Mental keysmash of what what what this woman was not there before. Was she? Adder's never seen her before in her life.

And there is no concealing the look of complete and total surprise that lingers on her face before she smooths it over into her usual dry amusement.]

Nice trick. [Pause.] Any reason you'd care if I invited people over?

[ And there is a hint of amusement in Morrigan's face now, too, although it's much more ... pointed. ]

Trick? There was no trick. [ Now she turns to her roommate, arms still crossed, faintly smiling. One could even argue she looks pleasant, if she didn't radiate an atmosphere of 'snarky witch: beware.' ]

If we are to be living together, it is not so unreasonable to expect some courtesy from the other.

You weren't there before. I didn't see you come in. Whatever spell you used, it was neatly done.

[There's a moment as Adder processes that. Courtesy, right. Unreasonable, nope. Wait, living together?] What do you mean living together?

{Fenris isn't sure he wants to be trusting anything this woman says - he's still hung up about the fact that she may be a demon, or a blood mage - but he finds himself fiddling with the locket-thing. It takes him some time before he realises how to switch the voice function on to speak back to the moving painting inside it - last time he'd done it had been completely accidental. What he doesn't realise is he's actually put it on so it's recording both his image and voice.

So what Adder will be seeing, is a confused looking elf, squinting at the locket.}

It performs more than one function?

[That confused squint is just too precious not to find amusing. Sorry Fenris; Adder promises she isn't smirking at you, she's smirking... near you!]

Well, it would certainly seem so. You're making moving portraits, by the way.

{Upon seeing the portrait on the locket smirk at him, he favours it with a glare.}

What else is this thing capable of?

{He ignores what she says about moving portraits, a little too confused still to care. He would have thrown the accessory away if he hadn't been sure it was useful for at least one thing - keeping an eye on the other people here in this city.}

[The glare does not faze her. She's known him for three years; he's glared at her in every conceivable circumstance. Unless he starts glowing, she's not going to be much worried.

Also Fenris keeps walking into her jokes. She can scarcely believe how consistently he sets her up for them; is he doing it on purpose, or did his Hawke joke less?]

Well, it certainly hasn't opened a way home. I'm going to assume we're to use it to keep in touch.
