That's an ambitious costume for a first convention! Kudos.
You should see if you still have it and take some new photos :D It looks very good, just hard to see!

Probably the only one I'm looking forward to as well. Anime's been the same way for me in the past few years as well. I have my classics, but only a couple (like Victorian Romance Emma and Spice & Wolf) have really captured my interest in the past few years. Having more Slayers is like being handed three chocolate ice cream cones and not gaining a single pound. ;)

Welcome to the community! And GREAT major, it was one of the ones I was originally considering in college as well.

Oh, if such a life existed. I'd have ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Hell, I'd throw in after-breakfast, after-lunch, and midnight snack breaks just so I could eat MOAR ice cream.

Silliness aside, I'm actually surprised there are people who feel this way about anime nowadays. I don't know if maybe it's because I was easily entertained back in the day, but anime isn't as enthralling as it once was. Kind makes me wanna make this face D: all day.

Late reaction is late, but welcome - and those cosplays look awesome! My first one was for Slayers, too, and it was so terrible in comparison. xD

I do love seeing Slayers cosplay; I always have a miniature spaz attack when I see Slayers characters at conventions. I was at Sakura Con a couple months back and I think I rather startled a Xellos cosplayer before I'd even picked up my registration.

Anyway, welcome to the community and great pictures! It definitely takes guts to cosplay as Naga, and Lina's a tough cosplay for anyone, especially a novice.
