Rhyme gets out of the ship in a hurry. Even though Beat and Winry ... she stopped her train of thought. She needed to help everyone else and make sure that no one got hurt by Badlands monsters. She was carrying a kit containing bandages and other essentials and she was ready to go wherever directed.
Alfons was incredibly nervous about all this, really. He had never been one for a lot of social activity in the first place, and so he didn't even know anyone on the ship that well, yet, either.
But that wasn't important, right now - people needed help. And though he felt useless, there had to be something he could do.
He glanced over when he spotted the young girl carrying a kit, and thought that might be a start - so he moved over to her, hoping he wouldn't sound too awkward when he spoke.
Rhyme looked up at the blond and smiled. After a moment she turned very serious.
"Hi there! People could be hurt, we need to make sure everyone's ok. If they're badly hurt we're going to take them inside. If they are mostly alright, we're treated them out here!"
She looked at her companion. "Do you know anything about medicine?"
He nodded a bit, listening to her, his own expression pretty solemn. He understood the severity of the situation - and that was why he had to do something.
He grimaced a bit at her question, though, and shook his head, "Not really, nein...but I will do what I can, ja?"
At the announcement that the Way would be landing soon, Hijikata pulled himself away from his journal and the books he'd managed to rescue. Better a Vohemaro vessel than the military, of course, but that didn't mean he didn't want to get a good look at the people who had come out to get them. They'd certainly responded quickly...
Luffy quickly got out once the ship landed, eager to help wherever he needed. The youngster hoped that at least, his body of rubber might aid here or there. As he wandered about, occasionally helping here or there, the boy soon spotted a familiar figure he had met in Berum - long hair, scowl and pipe... it had to be.
"Mister Hijikata!" the monkey boy shouted as he pounded to the gloomy adult. "Its been a while, heh!"
The sight of a familiar face--one he hadn't seen on a stage--set Hijikata a little bit at ease. Only a little bit, but it counted for something...now, if he could only remember the kid's name...
"Delivery boy," he acknowledged. He wasn't sure he'd ever actually gotten a name from him, now that he thought on it. If he had... well, dammit, he'd barely slept or stopped working since the crash.
"Delivery boy?" Luffy echoed, head tilting to the side in mild confusion. Last he checked, that sure wasn't his name at all now. "Have you forgotten my name, Mister?" he asked, soon forgetting about that as a huge grin crossed his face instead, childish and true as he jabbed a thumb towards himself. "Its Luffy! Monkey D. Luffy, and I'm going to be the greatest pirate in Reial one day, heh!"
Okay, so it seemed like a pretty far-fetched dream, but hey, it was his dream after all. No dream was that far-fetched... right? Of course it wasn't, and it was all entirely plausible.

That had not been a friendly landing. Of course, Isako had been expecting it. There was no way they could have landed the ship smoothly in its present condition. Still, that really did smart.
She pulled herself together as she awaited the Winding Way. She kept glancing back down at her journal, watching the flurry of responses go across it. She tried to get a few orders in here and there, but her crew seemed to be doing all right. Heh, maybe she had been underestimating them all this time.
Fiddling with her gun a bit (it was becoming a nervous habit) she looked up again at the sky to see a ship approaching. She bristled instantly, then relaxed just slightly as she saw the ship's gaudy appearance. It could be none other than a theatre ship. As long as it wasn't the Victoria II she didn't really care who it was at this point.
Well, it looked like it was time to meet them. Isako holstered her gun, though she kept her hand near it as she walked down the plank of her own ship to meet the other ship's captain.

Kurt stood to the side as his crew filed out of the ship to assist the members of the 4423. He started glancing around for the Captain. He'd seen her at the Kropmork fiasco, while he was doing a little bit of spy-work, but there was no sense in spooking her and recognizing her on the spot. Instead he'd talk to a crew member here and there, giving slight orders for their jobs.
He would wait for her to approach him, if She could perhaps pick him out as the captain thanks to the way he was barking out instructions.

Even when he wasn't giving his crew orders, Isako could tell that he was the captain. There was a certain air to their kind (though first mates often gave off the same impression). He also had a reputation of his own. Not too many ships out there with a blue captain, she'd bet.
As she came toward him she gave him a nod. "So, you're the captain." She didn't even phrase it as a question, sticking her hand out immediately afterward for a shake. "I'm Isako, captain of this ship, the 4423."
She glanced back at it. Man, it really was in horrible shape. If she had the time to be, then she would have been embarrassed. As it stood, there were more important things to do than to waste energy on those sorts of thoughts.

Kurt turned as he was addressed and shook hands with her. For someone so young, she had quite a handshake. He was impressed. "Kurt Wagner." No sense in saying his title, she already knew.
He looked at the ship as she did. "What exactly happened?" He asked. He had on board mechanics and such that could easily help them out. Al would be able to do quite a lot once he'd found Winry and calmed down a little.
The badlands? Meant monsters. At least, that was what she'd always heard growing up. Fortunately, Sophie counted herself prepared, having stopped at the kitchen on her way out, arming herself with a borrowed frying pan. Hopefully Watanuki would be mad over that too, after the spoons and all. But that was just something she'd have to risk. She was not going out there without a good, sturdy seven pounds of cast iron in her hands.
Her friends had friends out there that needed rescuing after all.
Kurumi -- er, Milky Rose, as she was inclined to call herself when she was wearing the long wig and that gaudy costume -- took a break from throwing blue-dyed rose petals off the side of the ship. (Presentation, she insisted, presentation was the most important part of swooping in to save the day. She wasn't going to rub the 4423's helplessness in their faces as plain old Kurumi, and she certainly wasn't going to forget the flower petals, even if some were freshly dyed and left blue stains on her hands.) She narrowed her eyes smugly and inspected Sophie's frying pan.
"It looks sturdy, at least, but don't you have a real weapon or something?"
Sophie eyed the gaudily costumed girl. "Hmph. Well some of us don't think flower petals are a very good weapon."
She hefted the pan in her hand, not threateningly, but to show that she'd no trouble with it. "And at least this is a weapon I know how to use," she pointed out.
Milky Rose twitched. "The flower petals aren't the weapon, they're for show! The most important thing about going into battle is how you look during it! Besides winning, of course." She drew out a very strange-looking object that looked like a makeup artist's palette and brush pen, only with coloured buttons with rose insignias instead of different shades of eyeshadow. The end of the pen held a well-polished mana crystal. "This is the weapon. And it's my best work, thank you."
Shadow calmly made his way down the gangplank after the captain and other members of the crew, quickly assessing the situation as he did. He was still a little uneasy, but he had brushed that aside for now. There were people who needed help here and he needed to focus on that. It had been many months since he'd set foot on these plains. It would certainly be good to have a reason to possibly fight some of the creatures of this area again.
Skulduggery came out from the 4423 as the Winding Way landed, interest piqued. He had heard tales of the ship but he hadn't seen it up close until now; it was truly rather magnificent now, seeing it up close. But for now, that was another matter. Seeing the amount of most intriguing people coming out from the other ship, the skeleton couldn't help but wonder about the ship. It had certainly piqued his interest now.
Then there was that red and black hedgehog that grabbed his attention most of all, somehow. Something about him seemed to attract the skeleton, and thus he went to where the creature was, tipping his hat slightly (but not enough to reveal his skull) in greeting. "Greetings, might I have the pleasure of knowing you?"
Shadow was only a little surprised at the appearance of the walking skeleton. He glanced up impassively when he was approached by him. "I am Shadow." He answered.
Shadow? The name sounded distintly familiar, but Skulduggery made no move to press on. Instead he tipped his hat again and responded with a similar greeting. "The name's Skulduggery Pleasant. A pleasure."
