The door opened and a litte tortiseshell colored furball ran out, followed by a blonde blur. "Turtle! Turtle, get back here!

Rikku scooped up the kitten, turning around to face Yuffie. She still had her hair in one long braid. "Hey, Yuffie."

"Holy cra--!!"

Yuffie yelped as the cat literally flew out from the open door and immediately raised her arms up to shield her face.

"Uh. Hey."

"Sorry about Turtle," Rikku apologized. "I think she's trying to find Vash's little shadow." The ktten meowed and tried to jump down. "Oh, alright. No running off."

Turtle hopped down from Rikku's arms and started purring at Yuffie's feet, wanting attention.

Yuffie almost froze up when the cat jumped out from Rikku's arms and she damn near had a seizure when the furry little thing crawled up to her.

"................."

What the hell?

Cats had a weird habit of usually running away from her, in fact, this was probably the closest she'd ever been to any sort of animal.

".......hi?"

Immediately she felt stupid for talking to a cat of all things and shook her head before facing Rikku in an embarassed scowl.

"So uh, you wanna let me in or do ya plan to have some chit-chat here in the hallway?"
