Fang, riding atop Bahamut with Brooklyn, shielded her eyes as she peered down at the island of Nahk. It reminded her of a warren. She directed the glider towards the coordinates, keeping her eyes peeled for anything suspicious or just outright unusual. Something like that couldn't be difficult to spot given the extremely sparsely covered surface, but it didn't hurt to keep an eye out.

Before too long, she spotted the glow in the tunnel mouth beneath and turned to Brooklyn, pointing down to it. She didn't waste her time calling to him. This high up and with no roof or canopy to speak of, it was better to just indicate.

The island was a bittersweet sight. It meant the flight was almost over, but the look of the place wasn't exactly welcoming. He scanned the landscape over, but really, anything could have been hiding in those holes. Fang spotted the glow before he did.

Brooklyn nodded in response, not that he thought it was needed. Among the tunnels and otherwise bare ground, that spot couldn't not stand out. And it was too close to what they'd been following to be a coincidence. He looked around at the plane, figuring someone there must have already seen it too.

Ram-Dass flew beside them, with its pilot looking down at the site. The plane didn't exactly blend in, what with its bright magenta eyesore of a paintjob, but it was fast, and that was what they needed.

"I see. Hold on, everyone."

The plane really didn't blend in, but Angua had maintained a diplomatic silence about that fact. They had things to do, and heading for Nahk wasn't where she'd have preferred to be, but....

Personal wasn't the same as important, right? She'd signed up, and this was part of the job, and something weird was going on, and anyway, she was a copper. Getting involved became a habit.

"Trust me," she said, easily, "we are."

She wondered about the other people that had been selected. They were unknown quantities to her.

As was she, to them, she reminded herself.

Fang looked sharply at Angua. A decision. Did she hang back and guard their backs, or go ahead and join her? It was an easy choice.

"Count me in," she said, stepping forward.

She wasn't going to turn down the opportunity to get her teeth, albeit figuratively, into the satyr.

Brooklyn considered following them for half of a second, but this was delicate. Not that he couldn't stay out of sight or anything. They'd have a better chance with smaller numbers, that was his own point, right?

There was nothing else to do but stay back and keep watch. And be ready to jump in if something did go wrong.

Sara nodded, acknowledging Fang and Angua going ahead. She started to step forward, too, still staying back from them. She knew that at least the monstrous one disapproved of using guns here, but it was better than doing nothing, and she wasn't going to fire at least until the two in front of her were already engaging the guard, anyway.

When Fang and ANgua stepped forward, the satyr finally noticed them. It couldn't see too clearly -- the light was too bright for its tastes. However, these newcomers didn't smell like satyrs. Had Denouement sent them?

"Halt, strangers," it demanded. "Password?"
