He was just exiting the Convoy when he caught sight of one of the cabin boys... Joshua couldn't quite recall his name at the moment. He hadn't seen the guy around the ship for a while though (it was kind of hard to forget that sort of face); Joshua had thought that maybe he'd joined another crew. Apparently not.
Giving him a lazy wave as he approached, Joshua called out to the energetic guy. "Keep jumping around like that, and you might find out day souring when you fall off the docks."

"Oh! You do not need to worry! I am quite agile and I have excellent balance!" He was not trying to to be full of himself, it was just a statement of fact and since Lee never lied, one could always trust his words to be true. "And how are you on this lovely day!?" he asked, pivoting swiftly around so that he could more easily look at the other man. "Oh, forgive me! I have forgotten my manners to the beauty of the morning! I am Rock Lee, a Cabin Boy of the Convoy! It is a pleasure to meet you!" Lee quickly bowed before straightening again.

"My, my! Aren't you an energetic one!" Normally one would stick out a hand for a handshake or something, but Joshua wasn't that kind of person. "Yoshiya Kiryu, passenger on board the Convoy, but you can just call me Joshua." He loosely curled a hand under his chin, as if in thought. "I hadn't seen you around in a long while I thought you joined another ship. Don't tell me you missed us so much you snuck back on board!"

"How long have you been a passenger on the Convoy?" he asked, curiously. He hadn't had the opportunity to meet many--any--of the passengers on the ship before now. He had a million questions to ask, like where Joshua was going, but he thought that might be too rude. He didn't want to pry, but he was curious.

The redhead had just arrived at the docks when he saw an all-too-familiar bundle of green spandex come flying out of the Convoy, with all the flambuoyant energy he had come to expect. It seemed that Lee had returned to his old self, which was good. Gaara slowly came to a stop, watching his hyperactive lunatic of a best friend bounce around as if his legwarmers had suddenly caught fire.

"Gaara!!!" he cried, rushing forward, arms held wide ready to envelop Gaara in a hug. "It has been so long!!! I have missed you! How are you? Have you been taking care of yourself? Have you made many new friends? What have you been doing since I have been sick?" he asked, rapid fire, staring keenly at Gaara.

"I'm okay," Gaara answered, somehow knowing that he was going to have to answer a bunch of hurried questions. "I've been taking care of myself. I haven't made any new friends. And I've been reading, mostly, and developing some new sand techniques." The redhead gave his friend a long, searching look, staring at Lee as though he were a math problem he couldn't fully understand. "You seem to be feeling better now. That's good."

He smiled, striking the Nice Guy Pose. "Indeed, I am feeling much better! Thank you for noticing!"

Cats and water and clockwork bodies just didn't go together no matter what universe you were living in.
Eventually he had found himself a nice place, a large, flat rock not very far from the Convoy actually, to nap. Wood was almost always perfect for napping on, but good napping stones were more difficult to come by.
Too much sun and it would be too hot.
Too little and it would be too cold.
This one? It was perfect. Then again, cats were good at finding good napping spots.
His ears perked up when he heard a loud voice coming from the direction of the ship, but otherwise made no move to acknowledge it.

"Good day, Kitty-san!" he said, leaning over and looking at the cat, right in its face. "This looks like a lovely spot to take a nap!"

He quickly right himself, leaning forward and looking apologetic with all the determination he could muster. "I am very sorry for disturbing you, Mr. Cat! I did not mean to!"
