There turned out to be no need for that, though. The fireworks seemed safe - not to mention absolutely beautiful. He looked up at the sky, transfixed, and didn't move for a moment even after the display was over.
"That... was definitely not what I was expecting."

She flashed him a [Smile.] "I should hope so, dear. I detest being predictable." Not that Hex could even be predictable if she tried. That was the thing about Chaos Viruses... they had to be chaotic. There was no other way for them to be.

"It was beautiful. I've never seen anything like it." Admittedly, he hadn't seen a lot of fireworks in his life. But even so, he could tell Hex's display was far above the usual grade, and must have required a lot of work and ingenuity to set up.

But just in case he made his way onto the deck. He did initially wince when she threw what looked like a rather gaudy looking bomb, but relaxed when he saw the fireworks. They were rather nice and the flowers were a nice touch.
He clapped, a bright smile on his face.

At the clapping, she turned, and flashed the son of Time a [Smile.] "Did you like it?"

Sam brushed off a few petals that had landed in his hair. They reminded him of the Hanami festival just months earlier.
"How long have you been preparing this?"

-stopped at the display of fireworks and light, and the gentle rain of...flowers?
Crossing the deck to the Virus, he stopped beside her to look up at the shower. "It's . . . it's beautiful, Hex." He didn't mean to sound so surprised . . . but he was.

She flashed him a [Large Smile] at his words, and floated over to him. "Do you really think so, dear?"

That...was kind of a scary thought, actually.
Oh, well. Over the months, he'd gotten to know her better, and accept her quirks. Even the destructive ones. It wasn't like she was ever truly malicious about it. Not that she actually wanted to hurt anyone, or not allies anyway. He'd known that even when she destroyed part of their ship. Pit, he'd let her nearly trash him trying to help her get through that overcharge. And that time she'd infected him, he . . . well, okay, he'd been supremely annoyed at the time, but he could look back at it now and laugh. It had been pretty silly ( ... )

"But the dear Captain did ask me not to destroy the ship anymore... so very tragic! I had to think of what else I could do with my lovely new toy!"
