Beat had been on the team that handled getting everyone off the stolen ship. Easy enough, right?

Of course, with Beat, few things were, and it hadn't taken him long to get caught in the foul durian smoke and end up asshole over appetite over a table and in a heap.

At the time he had limped a little and continued about his duties, but as the hours passed he was starting to worry. The pain in his lower legs was sharp and jagged, and it was starting to swell. it couldn't be broken... he could still stand. Right?

So after fretting in his own way for awhile, he gave in, limping down the Fiertia's halls to find Penelo.

Penelo was in the process of changing from her jumper. She didn't have her nightgown, but she had her underclothes, and they'd work just fine.

She heard someone outside and stuck her head out the door. "Hello?"

Beat paused, sighing in relief at finally finding his girlfriend. Then he noticed that her shoulders were uncovered in the crack of the doorway. Was she...?

"P-pen! Whoa!" he blushed, rubbing the back of his head and grinning goofily.

"Wha--oh!" Penelo blushed, but she opened the door further to show Beat she had clothes on. Sort of. "Sorry, you caught me changing. Is everything okay?"
