Idly congratulating himself for getting the ship to it's destination on time and safely despite his spell of illness, he was more or less in good humor as he strolled around the room with various papers under his arm and took the time to straighten up.

He started to leave when he noticed a paper on the floor. It must have fallen off a desk or table and fluttered all the way out the door. Soma figured the nice thing to do was bring it back in, in case it was important.
"Here, I found this outside," he called, holding out the errant paper.

"Thank you." He murmured, glancing over the sheet briefly to ascertain where it belonged, then looked back up at the stranger- skeptical. "I don't believe I've seen you before."

Even if it was something he was completely unused to, he wast starting to get a feel for the ship - its general layout, its atmosphere, and the mood of the crew. They certainly seemed like an odd bunch, but there was nothing wrong with that.
"I'm Soma Cruz," he introduced.

Training.
He had been spending so much time lately learning all those (basic) skills an Airman needed, he hadn't really kept up with his training. He swept at his bangs with a wince. His teacher would kill Ryuuki if he ever found out.
He dropped into another ready stance, spurred on by the ambition to not be killed if he ever met his teacher again.

There was someone in here too, and it looked like the man was hard at work. While it might have looked like routine training at first glance, there was something about this person was driven more than just a desire to keep skills sharp.
Standing in the doorway, Soma decided to stop and watch a little bit, just out of curiosity.

Then he noticed the person standing in the doorway. He blinked, then sheathed Bakuya with a smile.
"Hi."

"Hello," he said, returning the greeting. "You're very good."
Of course, Soma tended to think of anyone who was better than him as "very good," which was understandable due to his relative inexperienced compared to many other fighters.
