The Hanami Cloud Festival was something that only really interested Hojo on a research level and, as it was, there was very little to be gained from looking into the reason the Cloud only appeared every seven years and why it happened to spew petals when it did. As such, he'd kept himself to himself and largely avoided the crowds, opting to remain on the ship and not attend the trivial entertainment or tournaments that were going on.
He'd spent much of his time in the infirmary, awaiting the arrival of anybody who had managed to get themselves into anything unfortunate, as tended to happen when large numbers of people got together, be it accidental or not. So far things hadn't been too bad, but leaving the infirmary unattended wasn't really a good idea.
It wouldn't do to have it empty and un-manned should somebody come calling.
