Characters: Mitsuru, Minato, and Shinjirou Content: Multiship meetups = a great time for conferences! Setting: During the festival, right outside the food stall area. Time: Evening after this post Warnings: SHINJIROU
Well, okay, maybe five minutes late. He was a bit distracted by the food stalls on the way over. To his credit, he didn't stop to buy anything, but they did slow him down. He scanned the area before spotting Mitsuru - it was hard to miss someone as stunning as her - and approached, taking a seat on the bench right next to her before saying his greeting.
Somewhere between what he agreed on and what was expected, Shinjiro in fact showed up fashionably late. It wasn't that he meant to exactly, it was just that he wasn't going to rush and the festival was pretty damn big. Kirijo could wait a few minutes, he was sure.
He approached slowly, spotting his former classmates bright red hair and the less outstanding Arisato. He considered just turning back and ditching this 'meeting'. He really didn't want to answer a bunch of questions right now. But... hell he had promised.
Shinjirou's arrival was a convenient break in the somewhat awkward silence that had fallen as Mitsuru had tried to come up with an appropriate response to Minato without seeming foolish. Despite the time apart after Shinji had vanished, she still knew exactly where she stood with him. Arisato was slightly more shaky emotional ground.
She stood, brushing the folds out of her skirt, and gave Shinji a measured look. "Glad to see you actually came." There was a little bit of annoyance in her voice, though she was polite enough not to add 'instead of vanishing into thin air like last time.'
"Hello, Shinjiro-senpai," Minato greeted. Shinjiro was someone Minato was most reserved with. It wasn't that he didn't like Aragaki; there was no dislike at all. He felt like he should give Shinjiro his space. Minato would maintain a certain emotional distance from Shinjiro, but always be open to him. If Shinjiro wanted his company, he would close that distance on his own.
Ah, but the same could not be said for Mitsuru. Minato didn't miss the irritation in her voice, and opted to preemptively diffuse any conflict that might arise.
