Ah, finally. That season was over. He'd made out comparatively well; very few people had actually bothered him, and he'd somehow gotten a few useful things (and a few not-so-useful things; what the hell was that thing made of junk? He'd have to get rid of it as soon as possible) without bothering to give anyone not immediately related to him anything.

Of course, nobody here was perfect enough to deserve anything, so it was no skin off his back. Right now was a perfect time to head for the kitchen and...

What the hell was that?

He must have searched about half the ship by now. Was there really no place to get some training done? Well, he supposed he could use the deck at night when nobody was around. If not, well, maybe he had to find another ship to be on.

At first, he noticed von Karma down the hall, but thought nothing of it. Just some old guy. But on second look as they got closer, Silver noticed that he was staring at Croconaw.

"What are you looking at?"

[karmauberalles]

"That should be quite obvious," said von Karma, crossing his arms. Something about the monster-or, at least, the monster's apparent role-was vaguely familiar... he highly doubted the thing was a pet, and the last time he'd dealt with something like this he'd had part of his ear shot off.

"Where did you get that thing?"

[tsuntrainer]

Over the months, Silver had been asked many times where he had gotten Croconaw. Of course, he couldn't say that he stole Croconaw from a laboratory, and had come up with a lie even before he did the break in.

"Found him in the wild outside my hometown," he answered.
