And as Dimo was off doing who-knows-what, she was eagerly trying to scare up some fun of her own... but none seemed to be had. Everyone was just looking at the damn flowers.
Sighing, she wandered away from the main town. Maybe some unsavory characters could be found there!
...What the-? What was the prissy little Ambassador doing here? Having a picnic?! The pirate resisted groaning loudly and settled for smacking her head with her palm.

"Miss Bangladesh!" She said happily. "Come join me! I have plenty of food and wine for two."

...Fine, whatever. Not like she was doing anything anyway. She plastered the closest thing she could get to a smile on her face and sat down, carefully, so as not to upset the various weaponry she had stashed about her person. "Hi, girlie."

"How are you enjoying the festival, Miss Bangladesh?" She asked with a smile. "I had to escape for a bit. Too much noise. Those vuvuzelas are completely horrid."

He had just finished a game at some stall (he lost) when he caught sight of Jennifer leaving.
Curious, he pushed through the crowd and followed her.
Why would she want to leave?
"Jenny!" He called with a wave when he was closer to the tree she was sitting under.

She smiled as she saw him approaching, busily reaching up and removing her hat. Jennifer waved at him in return, and beckoned him forward as she collected some of the blossoms that had been falling around her.
"Come join me. I have a picnic lunch, and plenty to share. Wait with me while I collect flowers. I need a few of the right color for the eventual gala that will be coming."

Reaching up, she released her hair from the pins, and let it fall down around her shoulders. Jennifer put the flower crown on her head and smiled. "I bought a new gown, and I want to accent my hair with the real flowers falling from the sky as a little homage to the festival."

However, it lost its elegance when flowers were raining down on one, while one had business to take care of. There was a plant around here with remarkable painkilling properties, and Ryuuken had walked out of town to find it and add it to the infirmary's supplies. The carpet of flowers made it hard to find, but the man's keen eyes spotted a sprig growing above the petals. Crouching down, Ryuuken pulled a shovel and small clay pot out of the bag at his hip and dug up the specimen, tucking the dirt down with gloved hands.
There, that task was done. As he turned to walk back to the ship, pulling the gloves off as he went, he spotted a young woman he recognized as one of Serenity's passengers, a woman of some importance, he believed. He barely even acknowledged her, just glancing in her direction as he made to walk past where she was eating lunch.

Jennifer put her things back into her basket, and glanced up as she saw someone coming into the same small field. He kneeled and picked something out of the ground that was not like anything she had seen falling out of the sky. She finished picking up, and he glanced at her as he walked past, which only piqued her curiousity. She recognized him from the Serenity, but his name escaped her.
"Good afternoon." She called out as he glanced at her. "I do not believe we have had the pleasure of meeting, but we are on the same ship, are we not?"

"You seemed to have been looking for something very specific in the grass beyond the blossoms, what were you looking for?" Jennifer asked.

As she walked through the streets, she knew that most of the people around her saw her only as a horse, and this angered her greatly, but there was nothing she could do about it. Perhaps it was for the best, anyway. Then no one would be wanting to talk to her...
She wandered away from the main festival area, looking for a more quiet place to rest and simply enjoy the flowers... when she began to feel a very familiar, but largely forgotten pull. There was a maiden nearby... one who had never seen a unicorn, and one who was not all she seemed.
Almost against her will, the unicorn silently began walking towards the refined-looking young lady in the hat, whose back was to her.

Her tail, far more similar to that of a lion's that a horse's, flicked back and forth a bit. Otherwise, she stood perfectly still in the light of the sun and the rain of flowers.
"...Hello."

Especially because it was speaking to her.
"Are you real?" She asked cautiously, afraid to break the enchantment if there was one.

Snake quietly left the crowd. The sounds of celebration bothered him. He couldn't help but feel dejected. He looked up. Flowers Showered. A girl was sitting in the middle of a field. Again his mentor flashed into his mind. As if in a trance, he walked over to her, unable to belive his eyes.

As she picked up her parasol, she was aware she was no longer alone in the field. Turning, she saw a man walking towards her, someone unfamiliar. A moment of fear slid through her, but that was only habit. She could care for herself if need be. Thus, she fought the fight or flight response and waited for him to get to a polite conversation distance.
"Good afternoon." She greeted him.

He composed his mind quickly, (credit to the training he had from the many years when he's in the Special Force. Snake stands upright, and bottled up his emotions. His face returns quickly to it's normal poker face.
"Good afternoon, Miss."He nods his head and responds solemnly.
"Sorry for intruding; I thought you were someone I knew." The soldier said.

Jennifer wondered if he realized it sounded like a pick up line.
"As we have not met, allow me to introduce myself. I am Jennifer Walters, Ambassador of Ivona. How do you do?"
