Winry didn't have too long to wait. It was only about ten minutes later that the familiar sight of the large suit of armor covered the doorway, and despite everything her nervousness faded away to genuine happiness at just seeing him. How long had it been? God. Years. Many, many years. She just stared for a moment, not even remembering to wave or call out to him. Her eyes drifted slightly to his side, expecting to see Edward there as well, but when she didn't she snapped back to reality. Right. She had invited them individually. They didn't even know that the other was coming ( ... )

Edward to say the least was tired from the past few days. Between running around the city, to running away from all the creatures that had been thrown at him, and finally re-searching the city for signs of the man ( thing ) responsible. Edward was very much ready to settle back into his empty cabin on the VictoriaII and call it a night. He had broken his arm during one of the later battles, between the transmutations and the claws of the creatures screws had fallen out, and sections of metal were lose. In all reality both his arm and leg were probably due for a bit of a tune up. It had been a few years since Edward last saw Winry ( ... )

"You don't belong out here." Ed as Ed was prone to do, said exactly what he thought, and he said it without an ounce of tact. He didn't seem angry or mad anymore, but he was completely serious. Ed's gold eyes gleamed in that way they tended to when he was about to start talking like he was better than others.

"We've traveled all over the world for years. We've seen hardships you couldn't even imagine, things that would make you cry and wish you'd never seen them. Especially, here in Vohemar. This is no place for a girl." Ed said and added in only the briefest of pauses before he added with a rather final breath.

"You need to go home, Winry."

While the bar around them continued, busy as ever, a thick silence fell over the table where the three were gathered. All guilt she had felt about what she had done and all she had revealed to them died a horrible and gory death ( ... )

Lucky for Ed he was always quick on his feet, and when he felt the table shifting he instinctively pushed up and kicked his chair back and probably into some innocent bystander in the process, just so he could avoid being pinned beneath the table.

"Al stop her!" Edward shouted, odd for him to bark orders in a situation like this. Normally, he could have easily contained Winry with a quick clap of his hands - but seeing as how his arm was already in a weakened state, it was probably just a few more transmutations away from breaking into pieces. He had to pick his actions carefully.
