Characters: Crew of Serenity Content: The hunting of sky pork Setting: Up in the air above the Badlands Time: After repairs have been made from Stitch's Bizarre Adventure Warnings:
A small black cloud can be seen on the horizon. How strange, the sky was so bright and clear earlier that afternoon.
But soon enough the swarm can be seen for what it is. It isn't a cloud, it's a horde of two dozen or so giant boars. They're enormous, with giant wings reminiscent of a bat or hell demon, and the males have four tusks engineered by nature to gore anyone foolish to face them head-on. The herd are on their way to the ship, flying fast and furious, and while they aren't in range yet it's only a matter of time before they arrive at the ship.
...except for a lone piglet at the very back. He's the length of a small plane and wider than he is long, with wings the size of a man's arm, and his legs flail pathetically in the air while he slowly flies after his companions.
Rikku hadn't been out on deck yet, too busy getting some of her stun grenades to use on the pigs in case they were particularly fiesty. And then she heard the panicky posts and grabbed the whole box of grenades before heading up.
Repede was there at the deck, staring at the direction where the swarm came. He sensed them earlier before the chaos going on in the ship. Soon a girl with a box of grenades appeared, he unsheathed his dagger with his jaw without looking at her.
It seemed pig hunting turned out to be some kind of war. If failed to protect the ship, everyone will die.
When Paine had finally gotten up to top deck following her short chat with the captain, she glanced at her blonde friend, giving her a nod in the place of a hello -- it was progress from nothing at all, really -- and catching a glimpse of the dog on her way over to a bolted harpoon gun.
The girl stared, but thankfully not too long, before shaking her head. Now they had dogs and crittery blue monsters on board? What was this place, a zoo?
Hisagi had heard all he needed through the network and changed course to the deck instead of the bridge, stopping back in his room to strap Kazeshini back in its sheath and snag a couple of extra smoke capsules, even if he did not know what he'd do with them. On his way to the deck, he scooped up stray Harpoon, likely dropped from the chaos, and hoped for the best.
Much like Hisagi, Shinji had definitely heard enough off the network, and seen enough from up on top deck. Whatever the hell was coming toward them probably wasn't gonna play nice. He just hoped no one would end up skewered on a tusk, and that no one was stupid enough to engage one of those things one on one. From the sounds of it, they seemed pretty damn dangerous. With his own sword hanging from his waist, the skinny blond descended the stairs toward the lower deck, but stopped a few steps down when something inevitably sharp flashed across his vision.
"Hey, man, watch where you're swingin' that thing," he griped, face falling almost immediately when he realized who it was holding the harpoon.
"Ah, sorr-" His first instinct was to apologize for nearly stabbing a crew mate in the face, but the words were stuck in his throat when he registered who exactly he was facing. He blinked, rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand. Nope, the blond was still there.
"... "
Fighting off the urge to bang his head repeatedly against the wall; the lingering hangover was still effecting his brain, and with all the chaos happening, he'd manage to forget hearing the guy through the network. At least the headache was keeping him from flushing in embarrassment from the memory.
"Small world, huh?" He managed. Looking anywhere but at Shinji, he struggled for something else to say.
'Small world' was putting it lightly. But the night of their meeting, Shinji had been sure the guy was probably off one of the ships, and figured that there was a chance they could be on the same vessel. Which made teasing Hisagi face to face about the liplock all the more entertaining, even if he'd have to be careful about where and when he did it. Girlfriends made fake flirting very difficult.
"Yeah, you could say that. And I'm goin' down 'cause, uh..."
He couldn't help it. The moment he found out about the flying pigs he went onto the deck to find out if it was true or not. Zhang He found pigs disgusting. The only possible beauty he could see in the was the fact they provided good food and were rather cleanly, so he'd heard. He doubted that part.
"I don't care how beautiful they become upon their death, right now they're an eyesore!" Zhang He almost made a small pout as he readied his gloved claws.
"They fly, but they are not butterflies!" agreed Hisoka.
{{OOC: Questions: Hisoka started at the Belarus Academy 5 1/2 years ago and graduated 2 1/2 years ago. Would Zhang He have been there during that time? How big are the claws on his gloves, and does he have his spear with him? Last but most important: Is Zhang his given name or his family name?}}
Not too far from where the ship was fighting the pigs, Reno lay slumped over the controls of his plane. Damn pigs, distracting him. He crashed into trees. Trees! He hadn't done that since he was first learning. And now he couldn't move, and if he didn't pass out soon he was dying his hair black.
Well, that had been exhilarating. Hakkai had never been in a small plane, let alone one that had to navigate through the chaos that was going on around the ship currently. Once they were safely touched down, he hopped out of the plane and headed over to the crash, where the pilot was slumped over his control panel.
"Hello?" He called as he got near. "I'm here to help you. Can you hear me?" Not that he needed the young man conscious to heal him, but it would help.

"Reno!" was the first thing that left Estelle's lips as she leapt from the stuffy aircraft and bounded over to the crash site as fast as her legs could possibly take her. There hadn't been much room in the plane to begin with, but she had wanted to come, even if she would have to cling to the wings to do so. If a crewmate was injured, she had to be there.
Without waiting or listening to anything Hakkai might've said to her, the princess bravely approached through the brush, stepping (tentatively) onto the busted junk of a wing in order to reach the pilot's door.
"It's all right, we'll get you out of there. Hold on, Reno!"
Hiruma was currently playing his role of 'dangerous asshole' to the hilt. He always tended to play it up more when under stress. A swarm of killer boars definitely amped up the stress levels, even if he knew it was coming.
He crouched on the deck, a scoped rifle in his hands. He sighted, aimed carefully, and squeezed off a round...which ricocheted harmlessly off one of the boars' enormous tusks.
"God fucking cock shit!" he shouted as he chambered another round. "Hold still and let me shoot you, jackass!"

"Why are you headed below deck?"

Well, he didn't exactly have a good reason.

He was eyeballing the pigs as they bore down on the ship.

He shouted back, "Call 'em a jackass, hope they die SOON!!" His shout was cut off by the bang of his net gun.
