Returning to the airship, Minato really wanted to just sleep. However, he was injured in the escape back to the Serenity. Yosuke had healed him, but...well, it was probably a good idea to get his injury checked out, just to make sure there wasn't going to be any lasting complications.

Fighting off the urge to just go back to his cabin and fall asleep, he headed (with some getting lost - he still wasn't entirely used to the ship's layout) for the infirmary, entering and seeing if there were any doctors about.

Ryuuken was there, standing beside a table. His eyes flicked up behind their glasses, observing the newcomer, searching for obvious injuries. Finding none, he asked, "What seems to be the trouble?"

The doctor gave off an air of seriousness, and it was probably in both their best interests to make sure that this checkup was done as quickly as possible. "I was cut with a blade," Minato explained, rolling up his sleeve. "It was healed by Hanamura-san, but I just want to make sure that there won't be any problems."

He approached the young man, reaching out to take the bared arm in a firm, but not quite forceful, grip. Ryuuken turned the limb back and forth, feeling the surface of the skin and searching for scar tissue or bruising. He pressed the spot Minato had indicated, asking matter-of-factly, "Does this hurt?"

Hisoka entered the infirmary with limp and a scowl. His hair was sticking up in little spikes and his eyes were a tad too bright. He looked around for the doctor.

With the other doctors busy with their own patients, it was up to Isshin to take in the next one - which he did only all to happily of course, as he looked up from the clipboard he was reading his papers from when the other had entered the room.

Immediately noticing the limp and the scowl, the man went over to him and asked with a small smile. "Is there anything I can help you with?"

That's so sweet! XD son_of_the_lake May 29 2010, 06:15:41 UTC
"Yes," said Hisoka, "I fell over a crate and went sprawling. I think I sprained my ankle."

He did not much like seeing doctors, and did it as rarely as possible. But his face softened, as this one looked kind and sounded concerned. "Ah, I'm Hisoka Kurosaki. I'm one of the gunners."

Hisoka... Hisoka Kurosaki? Now that was certainly a name he remembered - it had already been a few months, but it was hard to not forget a fellow kinsmen. Isshin stared at the other for a few moments - blinking once, and then twice before the grin on his face turned into a huge grin. "Hisoka-kun? That's a big concidence! Its good to see you in the flesh!"

Hisagi normally would stay as far as he could from the infirmary, but he had promised Hakkai he'd pop in to get checked out, so here he was. The bruise on his side he had not remember getting somehow surfaced from a stray metal punch was making it hard for him to move about comfortably, though had it been located anywhere else, it would have been relatively easy to ignore. Still, he felt extremely out of place and awkward.

He barely gave Hisagi a second glance. A quick look-over told Ryuuken that the young man was favoring his side. "On the table," he instructed with practiced ease. "Take your shirt off. Name?" The other's awkwardness was apparent, but Ryuuken really couldn't bring himself to care. He'd check out whatever was wrong with Hisagi and move on to the next patient.

Hisagi blinked at the abrupt command, but figured he best follow it; this was, after all, Ryukken's territory. Walking stiffly over, he gingerly settled himself on the examination table and unbuttoned both vest and shirt before shrugging it off, wincing slightly. The bruise was starting to become visible, the dark blue/purple spreading to cover his left side from the last few ribs down; while none of the ribs were broken, they still hurt. Mentally, he cursed the stupid grinder and their metal fist.

Partly, he was glad Ryuuken was not paying him much attention at the moment; he hated showing weakness in front of people, and having this bruise was really not helping. Still, he made sure was sitting straight before the doctor turned back to him; something about this healer seemed to demand that of his patients.

"Hisagi Shuuhei."

Enter Bang and her non-ending thought patterns. crazywithguns June 1 2010, 19:25:11 UTC
Bang did not usually go to the infirmary of her own accord. As a general rule, she did not trust doctors at all, and especially not since that time when the stupid doctors had broken her jaw and wired it shut all because she made one teeny tiny little threat to that jerk who'd been holding a thermometer and (you wanna stick that where?!)grinning inanely like an idiot and how was she supposed to know they couldn't take a damn joke?!

She paused outside the door, and wondered not for the first time whether going inside would be worth it... she hadn't been hurt that badly after all, but she didn't have a first aid kit in her room and couldn't take care of the rather angry-looking gash on her shoulder by herself.

Bang continued to hesitate, muttering things mostly to herself as she stood in the hall. "Had to be the shoulder, too. The bastard just had to leave that huge tear in my jacket...might as well just throw it away now... can't really clean that thing anyway.. may as well just throw it away now ( ... )

This can only end in disaster and hilarity. doctor_is_out June 1 2010, 21:47:46 UTC
"Do you plan to stand there talking to yourself all day?" a clear voice called from inside the infirmary. "If so, find somewhere else to do it. You're blocking the door." Ryuuken was putting the finishing touches onto a cast for another crew member's arm. He'd had a fairly steady stream of patients, and he didn't have time to mollycoddle someone too proud to get their injury seen to. Kurosaki and Estellise could deal with those patients.

Of course! With Bang, it's not like a metting with _anyone_ could end any other way. XD crazywithguns June 2 2010, 13:25:57 UTC
The ex-pirate gave the presumed 'doctor' a rather icy glare as she gave in and came through the door. The force of her entry was so hard it caused the door to crash loudly into the wall. Oh great, Bang thought. I'm breaking things already.

She found the nearest empty medtable and sat on it, setting her stained jacket beside her and rolling up the (now much shorter) sleeve of her trademarked red turtleneck to reveal the large-ish gash on her shoulder, which, despite her having wrapped it in a clean rag, was oozing a bit. "Whenever you're ready, Doc," she said, in a tone of voice that meant NOW.

Oh, one of those. Ryuuken wasn't taking any of this bullshit. He didn't even twitch when the door slammed, and put the plaster away before turning to Bang, composed. It would need stitches. Pulling the curved needle and thread out, he set them on the tray beside the woman and began to unwrap the bloody rag.
