Primus only knew he'd been getting enough practice at prowling around lately.
Prowl . . . Primus, I miss him sometimes . . .
Doggedly, the Minibot shoved that thought from his processor. Now was not the time for nostalgia. He had a report to give . . . and then a date with a wash rack! Boy was he looking forward to that! But first thing's first. Reporting in with Prime.
He forewent audible speech and accessed his internal . . . they called similar technology "difference engines" nowadays, though he wasn't sure what they were different from. Never mind. He filtered the comment to Prime along. "Optimus Prime, it's Bumblebee. I'm coming in." With that, he let himself into the bridge.

The older, taller mech had been seated in the captain's chair, going through the reports of what the guards had seen. This whole incident was strange. They were stealing the crystals, but not selling them anywhere. He couldn't be sure that they weren't incorporating the crystals into other devices and smuggling them out. He'd need Bumblebee for that kind of surveillance. The radio operator's return wasn't a moment too soon.
Prime stood up as the door opened. "What did you find?" he asked aloud, cutting straight to the chase.

He crossed to the nearest console. "Quite a bit, as a matter of fact, though I'm not sure how much of it is actually useful to us." To a point, it was the young agent's job to filter any extraneous data, but he brought back anything questionable in case his inexperience ignored something that might actually prove vital. He continued to learn strategy and and tactics and all those sorts of things, but until he had a better handle on them, he let his Prime make the final decision on what to keep and what to toss.
Letting a fingertip separate and peel back to expose the portjack within, he connected with the console and let the data fill the monitor for his commander to peruse.

Just because you're a robot too doesn't mean you get special treatment, he thought to himself sullenly (and maybe a little bit irritably) as he fiddled with the knobs on the radios idly - there really wasn't anything to do with most of the crew busy with the mission and all, plus the reception wasn't exactly the best around here too which meant that his usual radio channels were fuzzy at best. All in all, life was once again doing nothing but making him frustrated.
In the end, it was just as usual in his normal life, really.

Feeling refreshed, the Minibot figured he'd better check in at the radio room. He half-hoped the other, newer operator was the one on duty at the moment. Neku was sullen on a good day and worse whenever Bee first got back from a mission. Not that the mech blamed him at all, of course - he probably would have been too in the human's place, not knowing why his coworker was always taking off. He tried to tell Neku when he would be gone, but he didn't always have a ( ... )

As sullen as ever, the teenager only acknowledged his co-worker's appearance with a brief sound that was somewhere between a 'hmph' and a 'hn'. Well, look who's all bright and cherry after returning from Nowheresville again. Seriously, what was this guy up to half the time anyway? Disappearing like that constantly was really starting to get on his nerves, especially when it cut into his personal time (most of which was spent in the brig).

He sat back and looked around, giving himself a bit of a break and trying not to use up too much of his Lux at once. That's when he spotted the yellow...robot? He'd seen Prime, so he wasn't overly shocked, but...but this one was small compared. Not that he could talk, it still looked to be twice his size. Still if the other looked his way he'd raise a hand and give a friendly wave and smile.

After a moment of gazing out over the railing, he turned to scan the rest of the deck and immediately spotted . . . well, it was organic, small and furry like an animal, but sitting upright, using tools and wearing clothes. Then it gave him a grin and wave. He returned the friendly gestures and crossed to meet the creature, offering his hand once he was within reach.
"Hi! I'm Bumblebee. You new to the ship?"

He moved his tools and the club and shifted over a bit, offering an open spot on the crate for Bumblebee to sit if he wanted.

He really hoped Quentyn was a crewmate.

He made himself step out farther and offer a grin and wave.

"Hello there. I'm guessing your part of the crew? I'm Hughes. Maes Hughes, one of the new boatswains." Without hesitation he stepped up to the other and offered a hand in friendly greeting.

He tilted his head at a thought. "Have you met the captain yet? Optimus Prime?" He meant to segue into the whole don't-tell-anyone-about-us issue rather than just bring it up outright.

This was one of those times.
He hummed a bit to himself as he fished through the fridge, gathering materials to make himself a sandwich.

He heard sounds in the kitchen. Now who . . . The mech peeked in. Well, not one of the cooks, but not likely a passenger, so had to be a crewmate. He cleared the doorframe more fully, giving a friendly grin and wave. "Hi."

Actually, he found it amazing.
"Hey! What's up? Do ya want anything?" As he occupied kitchen space forever but then he realized. "...That is, errr... if you eat. It's cool if you don't."
