It was Minato's first day on Serenity, and right away he could tell it was very, very different than the last airship he was on, the Winding Way. Quite a shame, really. He had only just gotten used to the theater ship's layout before the unexpected closing of the airship. Now he had to do it all over again. He knew where his own cabin was, but other than that, he was completely lost.

Managing to find his way to the deck, he looked up to the sky, admiring some of the airship's features. Unfortunately, looking up meant that you couldn't see where you were going, and he bumped right into Fox.

Some crates had needed shuffling. Fox assisted one of the airmen. After they finished he was talking over his shoulder to the man, not quite looking where he was going. It was only a few steps, but he felt something hit against his chest.

He huffed and looked down, "I didn't see you there. Sorry."

"It's my fault," Minato said. He was the one with his head in the clouds, so to speak. "Pardon me."

After that, he could have gone on his merry way, but that would do no good. He had a nice opportunity to talk to one of his crew mates and make new friends. And it would take his mind of being lost for a moment.

"I'm new here," he said. "Minato Arisato, I'll be doing radio ops."

"Don't worry about it," he very nearly began to say, but the boy started to introduce himself.

Well that wasn't surprising. New people were everywhere. There were more new people than old people, Fox was convinced. He straightened his shirt from the collision.

Then he said, "I see. Nice to meet you, then. It's Fox, I'm one of the pilots."

Kanda was on the desk, he'd managed to get his room sorted. Not that he had much stuff to tidy away in it. So after that he decided to move to the deck taking Mugen with him, he moved through the corridors still trying to get used to it. But he managed to find the deck. Stepping out onto it the wind caught his long ponytail, flicking it out behind him as he moved to the edge.

Slipping Mugen from its sheath and slipped into a familiar stance, moving through some moves. While he moved he noticed someone moving from the corner of his eye. Pausing he looked over, seeing the newcomer.

Fox had a sense for these things. Maybe it was his time in the badlands. Maybe it was just common. After all, when someone with a weapon in their hands had their eyes on you, it was probably in your better interest, in most cases, to know about it. So when Fox glanced over and saw the swordsman, it was out of instinct more than anything else.

That was funny. He didn't think he'd stumbled into the training area, but then he was still kind of new here. Who was to really say?

"Er, hi there," Fox blinked. "Am I...interrupting something?"

"Not really..." said Kanda straightening up, he sheathed Mugen for now wiping the sweat from his brow.

Kanda hadn't seen this..... guy?... Fox? before, maybe he was a new arrival.

All of the sudden Fox felt less intrusive, now that the weapon was put away. The gruff response didn't exactly put him at ease, though.

"Alright then...well, no need to stop on my account," he offered awkwardly. But he didn't leave just yet. As an afterthought, he asked "I'm not...on the training deck, right?"
