No Tea? [sad] so_many_moods May 5 2010, 13:48:32 UTC
Hexadecimal had been the first to arrive on the deck. She'd actually been waiting since shortly after first reading the inviting post. She hadn't really met anyone on the ship yet, and figured that a Question and Answer session was as good a place as any to begin, and she was so looking forward to meeting new people.

No one else is here yet, the AI thought to herself for the thirteenth time that minute. How very sad With a swish of her hand, the ever-present mask on her face switched from [Intrigued] to [Bored]. I do hope someone arrives soon... it would be very tragic if some unnecessary chaos had to be committed to alleviate my boredom The mask changed again, to an expression of [Crazed Delight].

Hibari slipped into the room around five minutes later - he took a glance around, checking the area before moving further inside.

The Convoy appeared to be significantly different from the Silvana in most counts except one, so far: their captains were elusive figures, or so he had thought. The post on the network had intrigued him. What was so peculiar about this captain that a ship-wide meeting was required?

...Well, he was going to find out soon enough.

...I think Hex is glad she doesn't breathe so_many_moods May 5 2010, 14:49:35 UTC
Hex switched her mask to a slightly unnerving [Grin] as others finally entered the room.

"Finally," she said to no one in particular as she dispersed the small, glowing red ball of destruction she had been contemplating using. "I was beginning to get very, very bored."

Hughes headed to the deck, looking forward to getting to see the captain. He'd heard from the man when he was first hired as a Boatswain but had not actually laid eyes on him yet. He had others to think about too. There were some from the Way here that he wanted to make sure were safe, and Quin was with him. That "daddy" side of him was as strong as ever and he had ever intention of doing what he could to make sure the place was truly safe, especially for any kids on board.

So he stepped onto the deck and looked around, looking for the most likely to be the captain of this vessel.

Tifa had been on the Convoy since it had started flying the skies, so she'd long since known about the Captain. It was only a matter of time until the rest of the crew got to see him as well, and it made sense that Optimus would let them in on the 'secret' now that there was a flood of new-comers.

Out of a sense of obligation as a quartermaster, she'd made her way to the bridge to attend the Q&A session, moving her eye over the small crowd, smiling a little to herself. Hopefully they wouldn't be too shocked.

She caught sight of Hughes, and a quick recollection helped her realized that he was one of the new boatswains. Meeting the other officers now would probably be a good idea, she thought, and made her way over, smiling in greeting.

"Hello. Hughes, right? You're the new boatswain?"

Hughes put on one of his best smiles and turned to acknowledge the voice behind him. "That would be me."

At first glance he probably came across as a little scruffy and unkempt, but a closer look showed his seemingly laid back appearance to be more pristine and in order. The air about him was still easy and friendly, though, someone easy to approach and talk to.

He offered his hand in greeting. "Maes Hughes, and I don't believe we've met before. You're name, miss?"

Tifa took his hand and gave him a strong handshake, dipping her head in acknowledgment to him. She noticed right away the easy-going air he had about him, and she was glad for it. Already it looked like she would get along well with most of the officers on the Convoy, and that there wouldn't be any problems as far as the work environment would go.

"I'm Tifa Lockhart, one of the quartermasters. Welcome to the Convoy. How are you finding it so far?"

Quentyn was curious. He was new to the ship, and while he didn't know how long he'd be here, or when his Quest might take him elsewhere, this was where he was for now. And since he was new, he felt it a good idea to get to meet the Captain and First Mate.

The little Racconan moved along the edges of the bridge, mindful of how small he was compared to most and keeping out from under foot. If he could he'd find himself a nice perch where he could ask questions and not have to worry about his tail getting stomped on by someone that hadn't noticed the two-foot raccoon.

A purple-haired figure looked over and approached him, blinking.

"You can't see over the crowd, right?"

"Kurumi?!" Quentyn gave her a grin, happy to see her again. His looked turned a bit sheepish when her question caught up to him though. "Ah, yeah, looking for some place where I can get up a little higher and see what's going on.

"Come on." She looked around for something large enough to stand on. "It looks like they've got a few barrels over there..."

Ellis, hugely excited to be part of the new crew, headed towards the meeting spot and glanced around, once there, for any sign of familiar faces. He wasn't sure he'd meet anybody from previous ships that he'd served on, but it was always good to see people you knew amongst all the strangers.

Well, he was determined to make sure that everybody knew their brand new Mechanic, in case of emergencies. Really, he couldn't wait to get to work on such a fine ship, but he didn't want to seem too eager.

At least by meeting the crew, he'd know who he was speaking with, should they come to him with problems that need fixing.

Finally, they were going to see the captain! Pip-san was a cool guy, but, well, the crew needed to know who they were working for, yeah?

Chie bounced from foot to foot, looking around at the horde of people on the ship. "Wow, there's so many people here," she muttered.

Rock blinked at the energetic girl. His messy hair, for once, tamed by the power of a blue headband, some soot still on his face from the earlier...mishap.

"Getting nervous?" He asked quietly?

"More like excited!" replied the fighter. "This is so cool, I can't wait to meet the captain." She turned to look at the speaker, blinking when she saw the soot. "You...you okay?"

Rock just smiled, "Small explosion. Nothing new really." He chuckled slightly. "The captain is a bit of a sight."
