Wait, what? Who was that?

Someone else small and fuzzy on the Way was a little strange. Mimino Kurumi frowned as she contemplated something, then decided against transforming and walked up into view of the newcomer. She waved at him and shot glares at anyone in the shipyard who might be staring.

"Hello. What do you need?"

"Oh, hello, miss. My name's Quentyn. I'm the new cabin boy." Quentyn offered up a fuzzy, little paw in greeting.

The purple-haired girl shook it with her hand and stood up. "I'm Mimino Kurumi. You're working here? Come on." She spun on her heel and walked into the ship proper.

"Yes. Ah...that is, this is The Winding Way, right?" Yeah, he'd checked, but still he wanted to make sure. Easily he trotted after her with little effort.

Say after he's put his stuff down in his room and is out wandering? =3 fire_water_wood February 1 2010, 14:08:52 UTC
((OOC: I-I'm...a-also going to assume him /being/ a cabin boy by now. *needs to get that officially finalized 9,9;;;*))

Harlequin sat on a crate on the deck of the ship, his portable stepstool on the ground next to it. It was how he'd gotten up there and how he'd get back down after all. He'd finished all the work he'd been asked to do, as well as anything else he'd been able to find, and with most the crew off-ship at the hot springs, all that hadn't really amounted to much. So for now he was up on a crate, enjoying the open space, the fresh breeze, and the view, and working on his woodcarving with the specially-sized tools that Mr. Gintoki had so thoughtfully left for him before he'd had to depart.

Sounds good to me. =D fartn_thndrblts February 1 2010, 16:40:12 UTC
Quentyn stepped onto the deck and looked around. Things were rather quiet around here. He wondered where everyone was. That's when he spotted the little wood golem sitting on the crate. He smiled, that must be Harlequin, unless there were other living puppets on the ship. With a friendly smile Quentyn approached and waved up at the puppet. "Hello. You're Harlequin right? I'm Quentyn, we talked over my journal?"

Quin jumped a bit. He'd not expected anyone to be on the ship at the moment. And then he blinked. He was looking down at someone?! Granted, he was perched up off the ground about a foot above his normal standing height but still!

A grin grew across his face, and he put down his tools and hopped down, dropping smoothly into a bow as he landed. "Yes, sir! Harlequin, at your service!" He straightened and offered his hand. "Glad to meet you, Mr. Quentyn! Wow . . . I don't think I've ever met anyone outside of my own siblings that I could stand and look eye-to-eye before!" Not that the little puppet minded normally but . . . this pleased him to no end.

"Oh, just Quentyn is fine." He gave Harlequin a grin as he hopped down and bowed, and that grin grew at the offered hand. He easily slipped a paw into one of Harlequin's wooden hands and gave it a shake.

"Haha. I know what you mean. Ever since leaving home everyone and everything has been so big. It's nice to find there are a few people more my size." He sheepishly rubbed the back of his head with one hand.
