von Karma was looking out the window, drinking tea that tasted like victory. He figured he could take a quick break; after all, there was no way the Gilded Wench could escape their fate. Normally, a knock at the door would annoy him, but he felt so good about things that he let it slide.

"Of course," he said, not turning from his current station.

Kristoph knew that, of course, which was mainly the reason to why he had dared tried his luck with the door - had things been the opposite, even he would fear putting himself in danger against Manfred von Karma.

...but that was a thought for another day, and certainly not a thought to pursue at this point of time. The blonde stopped himself there, and waster no time after that in opening the door and stepping into the Admiral's quarters, making sure to close the door behind him.

"Sir, I'm pleased to inform you that the cannons will be ready in three minutes. All we need is your command after that, and the gunners will be ready to fire upon the Glided Wench." He paused then, in order to shake his head almost sadly. "Unless of course you wish to open negotiations with the captain, but I suppose those pirates won't be willing to listen to our terms."

"Negotiating with pirates?" said von Karma. "Hah. Don't make me laugh. We're opening fire on them as soon as possible."

If there was anyone left on the pirate ship after the Victoria's onslaught, they'd be arrested and hanged. The same fate would likely await the pirates if they surrendered, and while they were stupid, they probably weren't stupid enough to think that they could get out with their lives.

The look on Kristoph's face matched von Karma's quite perfectly as the first mate inclined his head down in a gesture of acknowledgement. "Of course, sir. I'll relay the message to the crew immediately." Saying that, the man turned around with the intention to make a move to the radio ops room in order to make the announcement official. Unfortunately, the blonde would find himself stopped when a message crackled through the ship-wide address system, the voice being quickly recognized as one of the seamen.

"Uh... Commander Gavin? Admiral? Anyone? I-I think we've got something approaching the ship from the side."
