Millie hated to admit it, but she didn't like the infirmary as much as when Dr. Curtiss was there. He was just so cheerful and not as rude as the others.

She headed down to the infirmary as soon as she learned he was back for two reasons. One was she wanted to make sure her records were up to date. The second was that she had tea to give him.

Though he was busy going through inventory, Jade still heard Millie approach the open infirmary door. He noted the soft clanking of chinaware and turned, expression somewhere between curious and bland.

"Hello, Ms. Thompson."

"Hello, Doctor!" Millie replied, smiling. "Welcome back! I have tea for you, since getting settled back in must be tiring! We don't want you working too hard!"

She set the tray down on a nearby non-medical table and started pouring the doctor a glass. "I hope you don't mind black tea, it was all I could find!"

Jade nearly smiled at Millie's...enthusiasm, but couldn't quite help the slight amused smirked that appeared instead. "No, that's quite alright."

He took the cup as soon as she finish pouring, and remained standing by the table. "I trust you and the rest of the crew have been well?"

von Karma was not heading to the infirmary. He was, in fact, heading past it. Really, he could have picked a better route to his destination, but with Takano's absence the route seemed... somewhat safer.

Of course, he'd forgotten until he was at the door that Curtiss was back. Of course, it couldn't be too late to head to his destination a different way...

Unfortunately for von Karma, Jade rounded the corner back into the main infirmary just as the Captain made the unlucky choice of pausing. He smirked, not quite laughing at the older man's obvious distress.

"Captain," Jade said, tilting his head so he was almost looking down at von Karma, "I didn't know you cared~"

von Karma's eye narrowed in annoyance at the fact that he was caught.

"I don't," he said dismissively. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have... paperwork to do."

"Ah, actually sir~" Jade said, striding closer and doing his very best to loom over the Captain, "I need some updated records on you - now would be an excellent time to get that over with."

Jade had no doubt the Captain would do everything in his power to escape, but that was just part of the fun~. von Karma could run, but aboard an airship he certainly couldn't hide.

Backdated a bit... while Rou was still stuck in bed. mayovice November 30 2009, 03:11:13 UTC
Not quite scheduled to be released anytime soon, Hijikata had still been forced to stay on bed rest until he was properly attended to. The nurses had done most of what they could about his injury - but unless a real doctor came, it was going to be a while before he could go anywhere. More than doctors and annoying assholes, being forced down with nothing to do was another thing that he hated quite a lot.

Which was the main reason to why he was glowering in bed, glaring at the curtains and wall before him in the possible hopes that something would happen which would enable him to be out of this damned bed. Something like a proper doctor possibly; though remembering that one post on the network, Hijikata could only hope it wasn't that annoying bastard.

Almost as if Hijikata's grumping had summoned him, Jade pushed back the curtains with an expression partway between smug and professional.

"How wonderful of you to drop in and welcome me back, Major~!"

ffffffffff o Jade. mayovice December 2 2009, 00:36:40 UTC
...of course, the world once again just loved to make him the butt of their tasteless jokes. Hijikata looked at Jade, left eyebrow twitching as the usual annoyed lineface immediately crossed over his face. The phrase 'speak of the devil and he shall come' came to mind there and then, but the boatswain did well to suppress his inclination of mumbling it out under his breath.

"This injury was entirely coincidental," he replied, keeping his unamused expression on the doctor. "Wanting to see an asshole like you is the last thing that'd ever come up on my mind."

Also backdated a little, to before Vole was allowed out to hobble around. notajager November 30 2009, 03:51:37 UTC
No one wanted to get close to the Major, and for good reason. The normally unpredictable temper had only been worse with his confinement to the infirmary, and with the beating that he'd taken from the battle with the 4423, he wasn't likely to be back on his feet for a few days. Though he healed faster than any normal human would, Vole was still slower to recover than the Jägerkin, as he no longer had access to the potions that the Heterodynes had come up with to make their troops very nearly invincible. Nobody had yet dared to attempt to catalog all of Vole's injuries, but there were enough of them to keep him confined to bed (under threat of demotion).

He awoke and blinked blearily at the room after yet another nap. What he wouldn't give for some coffee right about now...

Chase figured he should go to the infirmary and see if there was anything to do, especially since he knew House wouldn't be working and he might as well meet his co-worker. The only thing he was hoping for was that they weren't House number 2.

He reached out and opened the door.

Sorry for the late D: mind_of_the_sky December 3 2009, 23:45:27 UTC
Jade half turned at the sound of the door opening, looking up from his paperwork. Though he'd never met the man who entered, his attire and familiarity with the surroundings pointed towards one conclusion.

"Good afternoon," Jade said, standing. "I take it you would be one of the other doctors?" He held out his hand and let a habitual smirk slide across his face.

"'Afternoon." Chase said as he shook the others hand. "Yes, I'm Lieutenant Commander Robert Chase, recently assigned here. You are?"

Chase was wary of the other man, the cryptic warning he'd received on his journal from the Admiral and what looked like a smirk on his face was enough to put him on edge.

[[vK did give him a warning, but I'm not sure if it referred to you or not ^-^;;; I'm aware that the other doctor dropped around the time I got accepted and I'm not sure when you came in... although judging by the other comments it could apply to him as well]]
