von Karma hadn't seen any need to use a gun since before he'd lost his eye; usually, he found that a sword worked just as well. It seemed like one needed more skill to get by with a sword in this day and age, and any idiot could use a gun. He had practiced some since he'd lost his eye; however, this would be the first instance in quite some time that he'd have to deal with moving targets.

This may have been a problem for other men, but he was Manfred von Karma. He obtained his rifle, which was customized with a scope and elaborate gold embellishing, left his cabin, and prepared to go to work.

Yurika practically slammed into the admiral as she passed him in the hall on the way to her own room. She sidestepped at the last moment.

"Sorry." She said, quickly. She was about to move on to the task at hand when she saw the rifle.

"Sir, are you about to go out there and go against the sharks...yourself?" She asked. Didn't an admiral have better things to be doing in a time of crisis?

von Karma hadn't been worried about her slamming into him; people always got out of his way.

"Watch where you're going," he snapped anyway. "Furthermore, don't ask stupid questions." What kind of captain would he be if he didn't?

Yurika held up her hands in a gesture of surrender, mumbling an apology. This was not a conversation she needed to have. The whole exchange took less than thirty seconds before she continued past him down the hall and, after a brief stop in her room, towards the deck with her own rifle. From the voice posts coming in over the headphones she was still wearing she could tell focus had shifted from the aftermath of the battle to the sharks. When she made it to the deck she could see why.

With luck, Yurika had avoided sharks in her years in the sky. As she looked to the grim figures swimming through the air, presumably to the bloody smell of the Victoria, her stomach flipped.
