We Were Quite the Couple, Once [Closed]

Content: Gippal finally shows his face (over the journals) and Rikku goes to check up on him.
Setting: Gippal's cabin
Time: Afternoon, after Rikku's day of investigating
Warnings: Um. Gippal. And Rikku. In the same room. Possible UST and hormones. Probably hormones.

His room was pretty ordinary, for Gippal. No dirty magazines out in the open, although there was a fair amount of half-finished mechanical gizmos stuffed all over the place. Still, there was some semblance of order to them, as they appeared neatly placed, with parts resting nearby and tools actually put away.

He opened the door and broke into a sly smirk. "Well lookie here. I musta done somethin' right, because there's a pretty lady wanting in my room." He jerked his head a touch, indicating the room. "C'mon in, missy."

Rikku did, quickly wrapping Gippal in a hug once she was in. "Meanie, you had me worried for a while there!" she reprimanded for the second time. Maybe the third. "What's so important you don't talk to me, huh?"

Gippal privately enjoyed Rikku's hug, taking the time to savor the feel of just holding her. That was broke only from him nudging the door shut with his foot. "New targeting system for the guns," was the unsatisfactory answer he provided for being awol. It made sense to him, even if it would probably get him hit by her. Girls were funny with their logic.

No hitting, just a swat. Rikku was a tech-geek, she knew how it could be with projects. "Just, y'know, leave a message next time you wanna go AWOL, okay?" she murmured, still hugging Gippal. "It's not fun when you just go poof! I was almost afraid you'd run off again."

And, really, that scared her a lot more than it had when it first ran off.

The guy was being more than a touch more forward than usual, but for every bit down Rikku nudged the skirt, he went back and tried to undo it. Eventually, he reached for that hand to stop her, but just kept hold of it. "You're Cid's girl, aren't ya? The little blonde with the best lookin' body around. Or do I have the wrong girl? I thought she liked this kind of stuff."

After that, he sobered up and told her seriously, "You've got scars and I got a patch. I still think you got legs to drive me crazy, so will ya please stop trying to hide 'em?"

Rikku bit her lip. Why had she left her braids out today? She could use a bead to chew on. "Really, Gippal? Y'really think I've got a body worth looking at and my legs drive you crazy?" she asked. She squeezed his hand. "And your patch makes you look dashing. Remember? I told you that back in Tulgim. I think."

"Exactly what I was going for," he assured her, before he went back to kissing on her neck. Most likely he was getting the wrong idea because she'd been the one to plunk on the bed first, but he wasn't about to complain about that either. "And I meant every word of it." Obviously he did, because now he was feeling her legs up.

Okay, that felt weird. No one had touched her legs since she finished PT, and Gippal wasn't even taking care to avoid any scars on her legs. He was just feeling her up, plain and simple.

It was weird but...it sort of made her feel pretty, or at least attractive, all this attention did. Rikku snuggled closer to Gippal. "I know this is kinda silly to ask, since we kinda already covered it the other day but..." She moved to whisper in his ear. "Can I kiss you?"
