Watson had just been about to make a startled inquiry on Gwendal's state at the sound of that thump when he realized that he had heard it right outside the door. He lost no time in shuffling forward, moving faster than he had in half a year, and threw the door open.

"Gwendal!" he exclaimed upon seeing his friend on the floor. The doctor was crouched on the floor in an instant (ouch), and made to wrap his arms around the strategist's chest under his armpits to drag him in. It was dangerous outside, and he himself have had to destroy the small machineries in the infirmary to ward off attack. At the moment, they had resorted to making do with some candles for light.

Well, that was fast. Gwendal was still awake, but not thoroughly aware anymore. He forgot that he had been directly outside of the room and now he was being dragged in. He watched his feet blearily as he slid across the metal floor. It was also dark. Not completely dark, but darker than it had been the last time he was here.

"You're quick," He murmured. "I apologize."

Once he had managed to get Gwendal through the door with some space to close the door, Watson set him down on the ground and hastily walked over to shut the door. It would not do to attract any more metallic monsters, and he could already hear some scurrying in the distance. It was only after that he eased a little, and turned to peering anxiously at his friend.

No injuries -- the strategist hadn't lied about that, though Watson hadn't expected him to. It was just a natural instinct bred from being the doctor of many stubborn patients. It was only then that he answered, albeit belatedly. "There is no need to apologize. Are you all right?"

Gwendal pushed himself up, sighing in exhaustion. "I used too much mana. I am fine otherwise."

It was the truth, he was just bone-weary. Sleeping sounded like a really good idea right now. A very good idea.

OOC: *responds completely separately so it's easy to delete* XD;;; flyfrommyself October 5 2009, 16:34:03 UTC
Yeah, sure, but lemme delete this because I'd rather have OOC comments as a seperate thread. ^^ I'm sure Yukeh doesn't mind. But to be sure, let's wait for her response before you tag, mmkay?

Of course! Actually, that was why I responded to her comment, so you'd both get it - she cuz it's a reply to her and you cuz you get /all/ comments as the originator. *sheeps - will track and wait*

Daw I am so sorry, guys. I was supposed to stay at my dad's hospital room evenings only, but I ended up taking a three-day leave to keep watch over him 24 hours a day. Uuuuh I just got back, but only so I can go to school tomorrow, and then it's back to the hospital for another couple of days. ;; I'll tag this one and then you guys can just reply to each other until I'm fully back. /sends Watson to mix meds, yeah!
