Yurika was supposed to be filing logs in the records room, and indeed, she had her logs, and was settled beside the filing cabinet but she was not filing. Rather, she had a fashion magazine open and to all appearances was lounged, lazily against the open drawer. Anyone knowing anything about Lt. Dojima's supposed character would surmise that she was using the errand as an excuse for an extended break.

What she was actually using the errand for was an entirely different matter, but she was careful to conceal any hints of that.

Lazily she turned to the next page and glanced at the filled ensemble that the model wore. The shoes were nice...

It was around that moment did the quartermaster enter the place in a desire to meet up with whoever was there at the moment. With the Victoria II and its mighty big turnover rate, people constantly came and went on the ship. It was always hard to keep proper connections (such as the lovely Miss Victoria who sadly had to be transferred off - godspeed to her) because of this, but the man did try anyway.

Which was why he was in the room how, looking quite amused at what the other was doing at that moment.

"I hope you're working well, Lieutenant?"

Yurika jumped. She closed the magazine, and grabbed a handful of files, pulling them out and looking to one side in a lie so obvious it could be guessed she expected not be believed.

"I can't understand it, someone left a FASHION MAGAZINE. Just lying in here. I was seeing if it had some kind of importance before I disposed of it through the proper channels, of course." She glanced over at the unknown officer and flashed him an apologetic smile, as she started to put the papers she had brought into the right places.

Being the ever proper gentleman (even if it was an act most of the time), Kristoph only watched with a fair amount of amusement on his own part at the woman's slight fumbling, though he did well to not let it show on his face. As it was, he simply merely kept his silence until the he was certain enough that the other had quite properly organized herself. It wouldn't do well for a man to intrude on a lady's time, after all.

"...of course," the blonde responded simply after she had finally gotten herself in order. While he might seem agreeable, the slight quirk of his lips only betrayed the amusement he was trying to hide within himself. Pushing up his glasses, the quartermaster took a few more steps into the room, looking around the place with slight interest before turning over.

"It must be quite the torture, having to do all this work by yourself," he remarked, one of his usual charming smiles in place as he tilted his head ever so slightly. "I certainly can't see why a break would hurt every once in a while."
