It was fortunate, at the very least, that there was no need to go anywhere particularly disgusting at this point in time. That was the last thing von Karma needed at this point in time-well, not the last thing he needed, but it was certainly up there. Nevertheless, he had no desire to stay in his quarters all day. So, against his better judgment, he was now walking through the village, being careful not to step into anything particularly... unpalatable.

Now that he had finally recovered enough to actually go around again without getting dizzy or anything of the like, Kristoph had made it a point to explore the fine lands of Erealia once the ship had docked there. Some fresh air certainly would do him good after the events that transpired upon him back in the Badlands - at least here he was certain that there were no assassination attempts on him anytime soon.

It only took a few minutes after he had went down the gankplank and wandered towards the village when he saw the fine captain. He hadn't spoke to him much since the whole incident, and as troubling as the thing was at least one thing came up from it: Miles Edgeworth had gotten his disgrace. Sure he had recovered from it somewhat, but the fast was still there - and it was the flaw that would be the first mate's end soon.

But for now, the captain. Kristoph straightened himself, making sure that every part of him was impeccable and perfect as always before quickening his pace to catch up with the other. "Captain."

"Gavin," said von Karma, in acknowledgment. He wasn't excited to see the quartermaster, but Kristoph was preferable to some people he occasionally had to deal with.

"I see you're recovering quite well."

"Well enough to not fall over anytime soon," the quartermaster responded with an inclination of his head in acknowledgement. Well, at least it seemed that the Admiral was alright - it would be pretty bad if he had caught his superior during one of his more inexplicable moods. That would not have been in his favour at all.

He paused to push up his glasses before speaking up again. "I hope that everything is well-enough on your end, sir?" He could guess the answer of course, but it was always better to be certain. And to play the part of the polite man that he was seen as.

For Leo, it was difficult to understand why others aboard the Victoria II seemed so unhappy about arriving in Erealia. In fact, he could not recall the last time he felt so genuinely eager to leave the ship and explore the area.

Having grown up in an Ivonian farming village, Leo had always heard idealized stories of Erealia, of castles and royalty and the brave and chivalrous knighthood, and dreamed of visiting the land one day. Even as he grew older and traveled from the country into the city of Bellcius, learning more about the world and the military and becoming more cynical in the process, part of him still held onto the fantasy of Erealia's knights, to the point that people saw him as a knight himself.

This was not the first time he visited Erealia, since he had been able to visit the land briefly while serving under Ghaleon, but it would certainly be a much longer trip than before. And already he could feel a sense of excitement and adventure stirring in his heart, a sort of energy that he had not felt very often since his

Delita spotted Leo and approached. The other man looked happy, a rarity, and Delita had to admit to a thin curiosity. He supposed to those not from this island it was wonderfully exotic, so he couldn't hold it against him.

Okay, so he could, and did, but none of that showed on his face as he walked over. He would not crush the demi-human's dreams of 'chivalry' and 'honor'. At least not yet.

"de Alkirk." He said in greeting, tipping his non-existent hat.

No problem, whole game's hit a slow point. fangofjustice September 20 2009, 04:22:07 UTC
It was, perhaps, incredibly generous of Delita to spare Leo's dreams. In truth, he had already tasted the bitterness of reality quite a bit before coming to the Victoria II, and it was what little naivety he had left which allowed him to keep his confidence in such a cold and cynical world.

His ears perked at the sound of the other man's voice, having paid no mind to the sound of approaching footsteps for a change. "Heiral," he replied, in the same tone that Delita had used.

Delita was not known around the ship for his social nature. There had been plenty to talk among the seamen that the youngest officer was either purposly snubbing the rest of the crew or was in turn snubbed due to his young age and high rank, or his non-Ivonian heritage. In fact neither was true, he simply saw no need to socialize for it's own sake.

Maybe it was time to change that.

"Enjoying your stay so far?"
