Gwendal opened the door to the infirmary and almost expected there to be chaos. Instead, he heard the muffled sounds of a machine thrashing around in the back but the front end was rather quiet and tame. That was definitely a good sign. He had yet to really be attacked by a machine himself but he doubted, with the luck he'd been having lately, that he could avoid it all together.

He finally spotted Watson and headed over. "Well, it's good to see nothing bad has happened while on my way," He commented wryly.

"It's good to see that you've managed to make your way here unscathed," he returned with a smile, standing up to shake the man's hand in amiable greeting.

"You are unhurt, I hope?" Gwendal did make a habit of getting into trouble, no matter how much the effort he put into avoiding them.

Gwendal shook the hand with a wry smirk. "Just barely, though I won't be surprised if I bruise a bit in the morning. Machines are a bit tough to block or dodge."

But really, he got into no other trouble besides putting his dodging skills in order, using his arm to block anything he couldn't dodge and, whenever time permitted, using a barrier.

Watson nodded and smiled, turning to one of the shelves and tossing Gwendal a tube of salve after. "For the bruises, then," he said. "Would you like some tea?"

Hinamori had been intending to get to the infirmary anyway, and it did seem safer than the outside... but would Tear be able to find her, then? She'd brought her journal, of course, so it would probably be best to sit down and inform her of her current situation... after saying hello to the doctor there, of course.

"Erm, hello, Dr. Watson!" she said, waving slightly. "I hope you don't mind me here...?"

He stood up at her entry and immediately waved her inside, stepping forward to make sure that nothing else from the (quiet) hallway made its way behind her. "You are welcome to stay here, of course," he said warmly when all that was done. "Kind of you to make your way here. I hope you did not run into anything that brought you harm?"

"Ah, I just got a few scratches," said Hinamori, setting her journal down and rubbing her arm slightly. "Nothing too bad, though. They weren't all that hard to keep away, it was just... that they kept coming."

"We do have an inordinate amount of machinery in the ship," he nodded as he ushered her to sit on the examination table. There was no getting out of a treatment, young miss! "There was no one on the way? Now, please do let me see your arm."

Kanda opened the door the infirmary, he was in an extremely cranky mood. He wasn't wearing his usual long Black and Red coat. Just a pair of blank pants on some leather boots. A tight sleeveless blue top with a sash around his waist.

One side of the top was soaked with blood, but of course with Kanda's healing ability it was already mostly closed. Not that anyone on the ship knew about the healing ability apart from maybe Kira.

He heard something in the back of the infirmary thrashing around, but ignored it. Obviously it was quite quiet in here. He decided to take a moment to rest in here. Let his wound finish healing.

Watson looked up when the door opened, and was just about to greet the newcomer amiable when he saw all of that blood. Kanda's steps had been sure and stable to his ears, and he had expected his visitor to be unhurt. To see otherwise surprised him. "Oh, dear," he exclaimed, shuffling forward in alarm. "You have been injured!"

Kanda looked at the man hurrying towards him, he held up a hand to stop the man if he took any notice.

"its nothing," said Kanda shifting to lean against the nearest wall, the wound was closed. But the blood was made a him a little light headed, it would pass in a few minutes. Kanda glanced over towards the other room hearing the metal scraping around. "Shouldn't you take care of that?" Kanda glancing tiredly at Watson.

"But there is too much blood for you to be fine," he pointed out, intent on examining the man. However, he was more sensible than to see to his injuries while they were both standing up, so he gripped the young man by the elbow, and promptly made a move to tug him to the nearest bed.

"As for the beast, do not worry about it. It is much too big and clumsy to escape that room, and I doubt if it can damage the thick walls."

The door to the infirmary opened with a jolt, and one Sherlock Holmes slid inside, his right arm tucked to his chest, the other holding a pistol, which stayed pointed at the hallway until the door was safely shut. Thank God for Watson and his good sense; Holmes was actually quite grateful for this haven. While he himself was quite skilled at handling mysterious problems, the engine room's issue was quite supernatural in nature -- a realm of study of which he had only the most rudimentary knowledge. There were those on the ship whose talents were far better suited to dealing with that threat.

So Holmes had made the perilous trek to the infirmary -- it was closer than his quarters had been when the ship had gone haywire.

From the sounds of it, the operating room had not been spared. "Trouble with the refrigerator, Doctor?" he asked lightly. He did not set his pistol down, but did bring his right arm up to eye level to inspect the laceration he had received at the hands of a particularly vicious light fixture.

Watson looked up from where he had been listing down the medicine he had stored in the bloody freezer at the sound of the door opening, and started at the sight of Holmes and Holmes' arm, walking forward to inspect it.

"You could say," he replied absently, ushering Holmes to sit on the examination table. There were a few smaller, smashed pieces of equipment littering the corner. He had been forced to break them at their assault, though fortunately, the lighting at the ceiling had remained behaved. "Is this all the injury you've sustained?"

Holmes allowed himself to be led; one of the things he had learned about his room-mate was that it was best to allow the man to have his own way when it came to medicine. In any case, Holmes was not about to refuse treatment for his arm. He gave a curt nod to Watson's question. "I must say, I much prefer light fixtures when they are in the ceiling, giving light rather than injury. Though, in my defense, the lamp struck first." Life was certainly never dull aboard the Silvana. "I wonder what will be next. We have dealt with infestations, assassinations, and now the ship's machinery has come to life with a vengeance. Perhaps we shall pierce through the cloud cover below the continent, or discover a hitherto-undisturbed civilization upon some remote island. There are only a few possible scenarios that I can come up with that seem implausible to me now." He gave the doctor a wry smile as he allowed the cut on his arm to be treated ( ... )

Watson did not assert himself often when it came to his fellow lodger -- Holmes was an eccentric, and between them the doctor was the more patient man -- but he noted that when he did in the matters of medical concerns, Holmes was usually sensible enough to let Watson bully, prod, and otherwise fuss over him in his small ways. Granted, Holmes' cooperativeness also effectively made Watson bully, prod and fuss far less than he would any other patient, because he recognized Holmes' ability to take care of himself and knew better than to engage in an argument he would inevitably lose to the wit Holmes oft displayed. This all changed when it came to Holmes' questionable vices, of course, which was probably the only argument he would ever start, but he had not caught the man at it of late ( ... )

Zhang He made his way down the hall, albeit carefully, to the Medical Ward with those long claws of his quite carefully. It would be a shame if he got attacked on his way to safety, and quite frankly more than anticlimactic. When he got to the room, however, he found it refreshingly ruckus free.

"I apologize for being a little later than I said I would be. Finding these beautiful instruments of death was harder then I thought,” he smiled at the older and waving one carelessly in the usual eccentric fashion. “It’s wonderful of you to have offered the medical ward up for a safe house.”

Why hello there, pretty man~ threeleggeddoc September 1 2009, 13:11:51 UTC
Watson had been hovering over the beds with the napping crew members when Zhang He came in, and immediately hushed the man with a smile on his lips. "That is quite all right. You are in good health, I hope?" he asked quietly, ushering Zhang He to the other side of the room and offering him a seat and a still-warm cup of tea.

Those were curious weapons. He was careful not to stand in their way, as the claws looked sharp and he very much liked his fingers attached to his hand, but he gave them an intently interested look. "Fascinating things," Watson commented eventually, unable to help himself.

Oh! Zhang He smiled and nodded, lowerig his voice a bit. He hadn't thought anyone would be sleeping, but with the day's events he should have known better. Quietly he followed Watson, slipping off his weapons as he went along, and eventually set then down on a safe spot. "I am, thank you for asking, and yourself, aside from the attack of course?"

He accepted the offered tea, smiling a little. Things seemed far too hectic to frown after all. "Ah, they're not good for single hand combat as you can imagine, but they do more than beautifully when one happens to be surounded."

"A little bruised from that beast in the operating room," he said as said beast banged about behind the closed door. "But apart from that, I am fit as a fiddle."

It occurred to him that perhaps they were both inordinately cheerful for the occasion, but Watson had spent much of his time in the Silvana gamely ignoring the somber atmosphere in the ship and proceeding on as normal best as he could.
