It was a little later in the day than usual when Sai returned to his quarters after completing his cabin boy duties. Up to yet, his time on the Way had been quiet and peaceful. Something he was not used to, but didn't complain about all the same.

Still, what with teaching himself how to get around the ship and his duties, he had had little time to practice his drawings. They were what he had been known for during his time with Root, and just because he had left them, didn't mean he was going to fall out of practice.

Inking his brush, he placed it to the paper and drew a fairly large, detailed butterfly. He placed the brush down, performed a single handed hand signal and muttered "Ninpou, Choujuu Giga."

Just as he finished speaking, the drawing of the butterfly came to life. It fluttered off the page and Sai watched it as it began to flap it's way around his room.

Sai smiled, pleased that he seemed to like the idea. He gave the notes and sketches another look over and nodded more to himself than anything.

"I think, between us, we could make quite a detailed plan. Just for the ship's crew, of course. This wouldn't be the best thing to have fall into the wrong hands..."

He looked at Quin then and smiled somewhat apologetically.

"Ah, sorry. Maybe I can take a better look around the ship, regarding things of note to add into the plans. The more detail the better, right?"

Harlequin flinched. He hadn't thought of that - no call letting others know the intimate ins-and-outs of their ship. After all, he'd seen now how some of his shipmates had initially reacted to finding him in their vents, and he had a legitimate reason for being there!

He nodded, then grinned at the last, nodding again. "Yep! In fact . . . " He reached up and indicated certain pages out of the whole, most of the collection in fact. "If you want to hold onto all these, that's fine. These here - " He touched the ones he'd not included a second ago. " - are the ones I'm working on now, so I'll keep them until I'm done, then give them to you to work with some more?"

Sai nodded and placed the papers he'd first pointed out aside. He then carefully handed the remaining sheets back to Quin and smiled his best smile. "That sounds fine. These should keep me busy for a while. Thank you, Harlequin."

He looked at the papers he had for a moment, before looking back down at Quin. "You've really been working hard... I'm sure people will want to thank you once we have some warm air moving through the ship."

Harlequin blushed at that and shrugged. "I'm only trying to do what I can to help everyone, and to work since I don't really have a set job or position or anything. I know how uncomfortable everyone's been, and if all this will help in the end, I'll be really glad." He pulled a breath and stood, accepting back the pages he was still working on and slipping them back into his pack. "Speaking of which, I should probably get back to work. Thank you so much for helping with this!"

Sai nodded at what he said, and as Quin stood up again he smiled and said, "Glad, and also much warmer, I'd hope. I think everybody will be glad not to have to bundle up so much."

Sai stood up himself, then walked back over to the vent. He picked up the grate and looked down at Quin, "I'm glad to help, Harlequin-san, in any way I can. Um... Would you, like a lift, back into the vent?"

Well, it was a little far up..

Harlequin grinned and nodded. "Yes, thank you, if you wouldn't mind."

Sai offered Quin his best smile, and as he set the grate back down for a minute, he also offered him a kind of step up onto his hands. Once he was sure the little puppet was secure, he slowly stood up and deposited him safely into the vent once more. He looked up at him, checking he was safe once more, then gave a little nod.

"Good luck with the rest of the plans."

Harlequin balanced easily as Sai moved, being a skilled acrobat as he was. Gaining the tunnel once more, he scooted further in from the edge and turned back to his friend. "Thanks so much! Take care, Mr. Sai, and thank you again for your help! I'll see you again soon."

With that, he continued on his way, softly whistling a happy tune.
