Raidou happened to be on his way to the hangar deck at that moment - he was planning on speaking to Hibari in order to flesh out some matters for the security team that he had assembled during the plane races.

(He also hoped to ask the pilot about one of the new arrivals - Chrome Dukuro, the one-eyed and extremely pleasant woman whom Raidou had spotted floating around during his patrols. He had a hunch that the pair knew each other, although he could not, for the life of him, figure out why he thought that way.)

The boy detective was not easy to miss, because he was in his usual notable cap and somber cape over his uniform. He was not accompanied by any demons at the moment - they had taken to rolling around in his room that day, strangely content, for once, with staying put.

Yami reached the door to the stairwell down to the hanger deck about the same time as a young man in muted attire. He himself was the shorter of the two, but Yami had spent a childhood keeping up with the likes of six-foot-plus Mahaad, so it was with only very little effort that he quickened his pace, hand landing on the door knob. "Here, let me get that." He opened the door and gestured for the young man to go first.

"Oh... thank you."

Raidou stepped in as instructed, and immediately bowed to show his gratitude the moment the other one came around. Yet another new person... he seemed to be running into a lot of them on board lately.

Yami offered a small grin, inclining his head in return. "Think nothing of it." He took a moment to glance around for signs - not that he expected to find anything but "EXIT" in a stairwell - before asking the young man and betraying his ignorance. "If I'm not mistaken, the hanger is down this way a flight or two. Is that right?"

[OOC: LOL points to which one of them recognizes the other's voice first? ^_~ *just thought of that*]

Watson was walking along the corridors, a hand firmly on the wall as he used it to support him from time to time. He could walk without his cane now, but he tired quickly and his thigh was starting to ache by the end of the third hallway. Not to mention the stairs...

More than that, what he saw as Gin's small betrayal of the friendship and trust he gave him pained him more than the loss of his cane. The matter absolutely bothered him like a fly persistently buzzing at his ear. So, pale-faced, he continued to make his way between his shared rooms with Holmes and the infirmary.

Yami spotted the man as he came around a corner. The limp, the pale face, the way he kept leaning on the wall . . . Yami frowned in concern and strode up without hesitation.

"Can I be of assistance?"

Watson looked up at the young man approaching him and waved the offer off with a wan smile. "No, I'm quite all right, forgive me for worrying you. Are you by chance one of the newer crew members we have aboard?" He hadn't been paying attention to the network lately because of his work.

He may be young, but he wasn't stupid. "I am. Call me Yami. Mechanic and patrol pilot. And you are not all right. Are you injured? I'll help you to the infirmary..." He wasn't being rude, or anyway didn't mean to be. He could just be rather blunt when he saw no need to dance around bushes.

Ryuuken had just left the infirmary, his shift over. His coat had been removed and slung over one arm, his tie slightly looser than usual. For Ryuuken, this was dressed-down. He was headed for the mess hall; he had not eaten since breakfast, and it was now mid-afternoon. In his peripheral vision, he spotted a young man -- with quite unusual hair for a human. But far from the most unusual thing about him, Ryuuken noted, eyes narrowing a fraction. High spiritual energy, with even more energy bound up in....something. It was difficult for Ryuuken to tell if it was some sort of magical item that made use of energy, or if the energy made up whatever he was sensing.

A spiritually-gifted young man, connected to some sort of high concentration of energy. And not a haphazard one, either. It felt structured, almost like a barrier of some kind. A very powerful barrier.

Ryuuken had the distinct feeling that whatever was behind the barrier was there for a very good reason, and ought to stay thereHow curious ( ... )

Yami spotted the man come out of the room he and Dr. John seemed to be headed to, noticed the way the other seemed to hesitate just a fraction, as if he too were taking note of something. Did the man recognize him? He was far from home, and he'd not been out and about in many social circles before leaving it, but he was the son, then head, of a wealthy and influential family, and CEO of a powerful business, and he knew that laying eyes on him only once was all it took to recognize him again - for his unusual stature and his wild hair if for no other reasons. He'd often considered cutting his hair - hell, even shaving it if need be - but . . . his mother had always been fond of it, and so he'd never been able to bring himself to ( ... )
