The beautiful thing about the guns was that stellar view of the deck and its ongoings. Or more specifically all those lovely ladies passing back and forth unaware that Gippal was appreciating them for all their fine attributes. No fear of being upbraided (or beat on) for it either.

So when Gintoki approached, Gippal saw him coming and issued a short wave of greeting. "Hey. Gippal Cuhlens, new gunner. Nice to meet you." He took the guy's hand and gave it a firm shake. He sized the guy up quickly, and seemed nice enough, but then...

Hello hello, nice bottom crossing the deck. Gippal's unusual green eyes with the swirled-pattern flicked the direction of the girl. Some days it was good to be alive.

Binoculars. Now there's something Gippal hadn't thought of bringing in here. He really had meant to work first then do a little "sightseeing". But if there was a woman...

"I could get used to a view like that every day," he answered, with a grin at the low whistle. He'd be blunt enough to loudly wolf-whistle at her, but it'd draw attention to Gintoki and who'd thank him for ruining the fun? "Got a spare pair?"
