It happened to be Raidou's turn with patrolling the hangars that evening, and he did so with Nekomata in his company. No one but him could see the feline demon as she slunk about, tail lashing impatiently back and forth, but he could, and that was all that mattered.

They had been talking about the town and the races and Raidou's "interesting male companions" when Nekomata spotted the stranger in the area. A low purr from her end immediately caught Raidou's attention.

"One of my kind, almost."

That was more than enough to intrigue the young strategist, and he turned in the direction that Nekomata was referring to.

Ranulf had no ability to see spirits or demons, though there was a slight prickling down his spine. Something that made his ears and tail bristle. He looked around for the source, but could smell nothing, see nothing. His imagination then. Under his hooded cloak his ears twitched. He -could- smell a beorc though. And close. He froze, scanning the area.

"Is someone there?"

"Yes."

Raidou stepped out into plain sight, and bowed.

"Raidou Kuzunoha, strategist on the Silvana."

Ranulf relaxed a little when the man (and he was just barely a man) stepped out and introduced him and his ship. A saboteur wouldn't be quite so open. The laguz nodded, not smiling but no longer looking like he was a step away from attacking.

"Ranulf, Quartermast of the Winding Way. Sorry to bother you, but with the races..." he left that open, waving a hand slightly. He knew there was an organized security group, but Ranulf was not one to leave such things to others.

[ooc: Erm...not finished playing it out in-game, per se, but Quin's technically with the Way so...gonna make a few assumptions. ^,^;;;;]

Harlequin had found himself too restless to sleep. After a few hours, he gave up and decided to wander for a while. He paced over much of the Way, then found a mooring and, feeling adventurous and needing to keep up his dexterity, he decided to climb down that rather than take the gangplank to the ground.

Everything was so nice and peaceful and quiet, almost surreal. He made his way out a bit from the ship before turning and admiring her in the cool light of the stars. But...then he stiffens, ducking a bit and glancing over one shoulder and the other. H-he...he felt like he was being watched.....
