Edgeworth made his way through the crowd with a great deal more wariness than certain other visitors. With all these different ships here for the races, anybody could be around. There could be criminals, rebels, terrorists, or even pirates.

And as if on cue, Edgeworth felt his side jostled. He turned to face him immediately, and glowered at him from the edge of his toe to to the tip of his head. However, as soon as he got a good look at his face, his glare was replaced by widened eyes and the scowl on his face vanished as his jaw dropped down for the briefest of moments.

"Matthew? Matthew Bonnefoy, is that you?"

Matt was busy readjusting his glasses when the person he bumped into unexpectedly addressed him by name.

Wait a minute. He knew that voice-!

Matt snapped his gaze up and was met with none other than Miles Edgeworth. He remembered him being a sort of friend of Francis' but that wasn't really what he was thinking about at the moment. No, Matt was focusing on the fact that he was in full Ivonian military dress.

Fucking eh.

"Ah-!" Matt tried to snap himself out of it, now was not the time to lose it. He didn't know anything, so there was no reason to give himself away. "Miles ...Edgeworth, right? ...Funny bumping into you here."

"That's correct," he said, as he looked him over. Something wasn't right.

"That's an...interesting outfit you have, Matthew."

...Outfit? Matt blinked at the other for a moment and glanced at his clothes. Oh. Oh well, he certainly didn't look very Bonnefoy-like right now, did he? Well, it was because he was spending his days running around with pirates but that wasn't something he was going to tell Edgeworth.

"Oh... this?" Matt dusted off his jacket a bit. "It's not really a good idea to run around the Badlands in your best clothes. These are my hunting clothes, I don't mind them getting dirty."

He had to buy that, it was partially true anyways.
