Yamamoto was, in the plainest terms possible, ecstatic.

Ever since he'd seen the message that their cook had not only been interested in playing baseball but had managed to find a ball, he couldn't keep the ear-to-ear grin off of his face. He'd been out of his uniform in a flash, a skirt really was no good for playing baseball in, and he had his normal clothes on before you could say 'jack rabbit slims'.

He'd grabbed his bat and after a bit of thought he finally decided that mess trays would probably make the best bases. It was a quick trip to the kitchens- always a dangerous journey even if the blue-haired man wasn't there- and took 4 of the trays with him.

Eventually he made his way onto the deck where he spotted the cook. Grin still large he made his way over to him. "Hey! Did you get anyone else to join us?"

Jade wasn't one for...overexertion, but the idea of this haphazard crew playing a game that involved pole weapons, flying objects and mad running was far too amusing to pass up.

Thus, he removed his glasses, pulled his hair back into a loose ponytail, and made his way up to the main deck. On the other end of the make-shift baseball field, he spotted the nurse and a certain blue-haired cook in mild conversation. Silently, he walked up behind them, leaning forward with a look of mild interest, "Good day, gentlemen. I heard talk there was to be a baseball game?"

Lafiel had finally located what information she could find on how to play baseball. She still wasn't entirely sure of the point of the matter, besides that the sport would help young people develop hand-eye coordination and a level of athleticism.

Still, it looked more fun than getting drunk.

She was still wearing her uniform, albeit fatigues more suitable to physical exertion, and the tiara, but had tied her hair back, out of her face. She walked up behind the three men already gathered. "So, are we to play baseball then?"

Well, this was certainly interesting.

Edgeworth had to admit, as ridiculous as the whole thing was, he was rather curious. It seemed that the nurse's excitement was contagious, and had somehow managed to get the rest of the crew involved (or rather, the cook did. But the cook hardly counted for anything). Now, he had read up on the game, and it seemed simple enough...but then again, this crew had the most wonderful way of overcomplicating things. Someone had to oversee matters and make sure they didn't descend into pure chaos ( ... )

The captain had taken his time arriving on deck that afternoon, mostly because he hadn't entirely intended to play this strange game that his nurse had such a passion for, but instead observe, so he was under the distinct impression that his presence there wasn't crucial.

Stepping heavily up toward the deck, the captain squinted through his glasses--the sun wasn't helping his already blurry vision--and he gave his crew members a quick once-over. None of them appeared to be in correct uniform--which wasn't really anything he could openly comment on, due to the holiday--and he frowned a bit. It was strange to see them not dressed to code, except Grimmjow, as he really didn't appear to stay in uniform much, anyway. Regardless, Vava was composed and he stepped forward a bit, inspecting the set up of "bases" all around the deck.

"..." He was silent, though it was a bit obvious in his posture that he was tense. Probably confused.
