Content: Ness gives Joshua magic lessons. Joshua attempts to be less useless (but fails).

Joshua was really kind of bored. He couldn't go wandering around in Bydan right now. Or rather, it was better if he didn't, until this while BID matter was settled, or the Way's crew was more comfortable with him as a crewmember. Whichever came earlier. He'd managed to amuse himself for a while, just wandering around the ship in general and talking, and repeatedly passing by the infirmary and haunting the kitchen. But these were the kinds of things he'd normally do when the ship was in the air, not on the ground. If he exhausted himself now, he'd be significantly less amused during the time in flight.
Ness had promised him magic lessons, and Joshua would make sure Ness made good on that promise. He couldn't fall behind Lucas, now, could he?
He noticed Ness wasn't in the infirmary today and hadn't seen him around the deck or the kitchen, so Joshua 'wandered' over to Ness' room, the next most likely place he'd find him. Joshua idly pondered knocking, but decided not to, entering with a smile. "I hope you're not too busy to amuse me," he said cheerfully, but there was an inflection in his voice that implied 'you're not too busy'.
