Haine hadn't replied to Beat's post. Why reply to a post when you could surprise the real thing in person? They could celebrate their birthdays together, she figured. What better way to do that then go drinking? Haine rarely drank; even when she was in the gang. However, she figures she could handle it. So, decked out in her normal clothes, Haine stood at the base of the 4423, putting her fingers to her mouth and letting out a loud whistle. "Hey, birthday boy!" she calls, "I hope you aren't leaving me out!"

Who better than to take you out drinking than someone who did it nearly every night? Or maybe that was a bad thing. Either way, Maxim thought himself highly qualified for the job.

... Okay, so he just really, really, really wanted to see Beat drunk.

After Haine called up from below Maxim stepped out from the lower deck hatch and came up from behind Beat. He clapped him on the back with almost bruising force. "Hey dere keed! So vot's did Hy hears about hyu vantink to go drinkink?"

So its Daisukenojo's birthday, what could possibly go wrong?

This is perhaps the reason why Kambei opted to tag along to make sure that heaven and earth both remains standing after today's celebration. The last thing he wanted was for the crew to get in trouble again so soon after their incident in Doma. The samurai knew he would probably be the only one sober enough later to be the voice of reason.

"Daisukenojo." He greeted him with the faint smile once he spotted him out upon the deck along with a few others.

Dimo was always eager to introduce people to what he considered the "finer things" in life: booze, whores, and barfights. And when you were 16, as far as he was concerned, you had better get a head start if you were a normal human. You only had so many years to work with, after all...

"Zo, drinks or vimmen forst?" he asked with a wide grin as he walked up to Beat. "Or both? Dere's zome goot places for eidder vun around here..."

Hiruma came along the other side, rifle held over his shoulder. They totally hadn't planned this, but it was working out just fine. "Obvious the fucking moose will have both," he said. "What do you think he is, a pussy?"

Wolfina hadn't taken much advantage of shore leave yet, but after recent events, she was more than ready to get well and truly hammered. And if she were helping someone else get even more hammered? All the better. She figured she was invited even if she hadn't commented on his network post. It was to the whole crew, after all, right?

"Drinks first," she asserted, walking up to Dimo and Hiruma with her tripod over her shoulder and an expectant smile on her face. "That way we all get our night out with him, and then he can finish his when he won't be able to remember if he did something he'll regret tomorrow."

Beat saw Haine, and gapped like a landed fish. He hadn't known the Way was in the same city as the 4423! And thinking about it, if he had known he might have stayed a bit longer and saved himself some traveling costs... such was his luck. He waved wildly at the girl, only to be distracted byt he crowd that had started to form. He blinked dimly, then grinned...then frowned.

"Hey! My 'vimmen' is right down der!" he pointed down over the edge of the ship, then crossed his arms. While going after some ladies tempted the perverted teenage boy that he was, he really didn't want a shotgun shell in his face.
