Characters: Might Gai and Greta Izura
Content: Greta meets her unofficial protector in person for the first time. Gai has a present for her~
Setting: On board the Victoria II
Time: Following their journal conversation! While the ship is in the air.
Warnings: Gai is so enthusiastic that it'll make your teeth bleed.

After talking a little bit with Gai on the journals, she wasn't nervous any more about meeting him. Sasuke had said he was 'weird', and there a lot of different kinds of weird, so she hadn't been sure what to think. But now she was sure she could trust him, even if she hadn't met him yet. It was just a gut feeling.

The main deck was a little of a walk away from where she was, so it was several minutes after the end of their conversation when she finally arrived, Vincent happily trotting at her heels. The little girl put a finger to her chin, trying to figure out where Gai was amidst the activity of the ship.

"Mr. Gai?" she called out.

Gai's ears perked up when he heard somebody call his name. What was this? Someone wanted to speak to him? Someone not his superiors, presumably, since his name hadn't been preceded by 'Seaman'.

He looked around for the source of the voice, and his eyes landed on a small girl with brown hair. Oh, that must be-

He was at her side in an instant, bounding over with an enthusiastic grin. "Ah, hello there!" he said to her. "You must be Miss Greta!"

She blinked at seeing a tall man running over towards her- so this was Mr. Gai? Watching him as he ran over, Sasuke's interpretation of 'weird' for Gai was beginning to dawn on her. The little girl laughed quietly and sheepishly to herself; she had a feeling she'd need to get used to seeing him in that green jumpsuit.

"Yes, I am. And this is Vincent!" She gestured to the puppy sitting restlessly but obediently beside her. He barked at hearing his name spoken, wagging his tail cheerfully. "It's very nice to meet you, Mr. Gai." She bowed a little, then beamed up at him. "Thank you again for agreeing to protect me."

Gai reached down and gave Vincent a scratch behind the ears. "It's my pleasure, Miss Greta! Although I'm not sure how much I'll be needed, with your little friend here around! He looks quite fierce."
