Kamina had a faulty way of thinking when it came to first impressions: everyone (unless they had obviously girly names) were guys. So he headed for the upper level looking for boys named Maka and Chrona. He figured the latter would be nervous-looking. The kid didn't even know how to believe in other people. He'd fix that.

Right after he fixed the chair. He reached the deck and decided to lean against one of the railings to wait for them.

Maka and Chrona emerged from the lower levels of the boat to find that not too many people were there. Maka was almost surprised, she expected a boat this big to be busy all the time. Although, she did suppose it must have its off days, too.

So, by process of elimination, the guy leaning against the railing must have been Kamina. Although it never hurt to ask.

She walked up to the guy, hoping that she wouldn't make an idiot of herself, "Hey, are you Kamina?"

....wait. He'd only agreed to meet Maka up here and he would be the only one to know his name, but this was no boy. It was a girl in pigtails and a boy in a--what the hell, was that dress? Kamina stared a little then turned his attention to the kid addressing him. "Yeah, that's me. You Maka?"

Chrona was practically hiding behind Maka. She didn't know how to deal with loud people like Kamina yet. She didn't want to... but she knew that it'd probably be better if she tried to make more friends. As antisocial as she was, she really did want friends. She didn't want to be alone anymore.

So she peeked over Maka's shoulder, staring up at Kamina. "H-Hi... I'm Chrona..." she stammered.

So this was Chrona. Kamina had been right, he did look nervous, almost like he was expecting an attack at any moment. A man hiding behind a girl? Really? They had a lot more work to do than he had expected. Oh, boy. First things first.

"Kid, I ain't gonna eat you. Stop hidin'."
