Time: 3PM-ish, same day as when Mai meets Phoenix

"Anyone want some tea?" Mai called to the people in the galley. It was a quiet day, which appeared to be a good thing compared to that recent.. incident, and she was hoping for some conversation with the tea. The kettle had finished, and was on a matching black-and-white china platter, tea cups and little sandwiches(she had way too much time on her hands) accompanying it. There was also a little jug of milk, and a cup of sugar. She smiled as she set down the platter on a nearby table and waited for someone to accept the offer.

Mai's face flushed for a second. She recognized me? But... maybe Phoenix was right and she should get a mask to wear. 'Well, I guess I have to lie my way through this.' She thought. Then, with a calm, almost forced expression on her face, she began the lie.

"No, I'm sorry, I didn't help in any battle. I've been cooped up in my room my entire time up here on the ship until now." She said, in only half-truth. 'Now' only meant this week, when earlier she helped with the fight, not that she wanted to remember it. "Would you like to have tea-time with me? When I was in Melior, some people would have tea everyday at around three..." Her voice drifted off....
