Naoto made her way off the ship silently, her swordcase sling over her shoulder in its constant position and her step just a little lighter than it usually was. She didn't really know why Heihachi decided to choose her instead of someone else who was familiar with Clovus to show him around, but knowing him, there was definitely some sort of good intention behind it.

Either that or it was just a rather spontaneous whim of his, both of which seemed completely plausible for a person as lighthearted and flexible as Heihachi.

Whatever reason it was, it felt undeniably good to get off the ship and back on solid ground, and with the information Pip gave her, she wondered if she'd be able to slip off by herself after the outing to try and discover more leads.

Glancing over the crowds of passing people, she looked around for a familiar hat and patch of hair before spotting the man from a few feet away. Naoto walked towards him, nodding at him as she stood before him.

"Good afternoon, Heihachi."

Komachi darted down the ship's gangplank, looking around for Heihachi as she ran. It was a lovely day, she thought, and it would have been a horrible shame to spend it inside - even if Heihachi hadn't offered ice cream, she'd have found someone to go ashore with.

It wouldn't have been as good, though; of that she was quite firmly convinced.

"Heihachi-samaaa!" she called out, catching sight of the red-headed samurai and launching herself at him. It was a sunny day, there was going to be ice-cream, and everyone had to share the happiness, right? She latched onto him in a hug before she even noticed Naoto's presence.
She looked up at the woman. "Oh, hello!"

She contemplated hugging her as well, but decided it probably wasn't a good idea and settled for smiling up at her.

Heihachi brightened visibly when he saw Naoto, but was interrupted before he could return the greeting by an energetic bundle of brown, red and blue came flying at him. He caught Komachi on reflex, laughing as he gave the small girl a hug before setting her back down.

"Miss Naoto, this is Komachi," he said, ruffling the girl's hair affectionately. "Komachi, this is Miss Naoto. She's going to be showing us around the town today so we can find what we're looking for."

Which hopefully wouldn't be immediately revealed as an ice cream parlour, but he was ready to cling and plead with Naoto if she happened to change her mind, and Komachi was masterful at both. Surely Naoto could resist the two of them working together.

"Shall we get going?" he asked cheerfully.

It was almost pure instinct to stop the girl from jumping on him but just from the sound of her voice she knew immediately that it was one of his little friends. Dropping her grip on the leather strap of her swordcase, she blinked and looked down at her, staring as the young girl beamed up at her.

"..ah, hello."

As Heihachi spoke, she glanced back up at him with a raised eyebrow. Perhaps she should have expected this, the man seemed to have a good deposition for dealing with children and adolescents.

"Is there somewhere you'd like to go in specific..?"

Naoto knew the streets of Clovus well enough now to be able to take them to well-known stores or even stalls, so he wasn't particularly concerned about that. What concerned her was the excited expression on Komachi's face--and somewhere in the back of her mind, she began to wonder if she was already beginning to regret agreeing to this arrangement.
