Although Toshirou had said he was headed right out the door when he'd gotten that message from Heihachi, it still took him awhile to actually make it down to the docks. He'd had to stop several times to find a bathroom to retch in, and then drink some water. It helped clear out the cobwebs in his head.

As he exited the ship, the sun hit him and he almost doubled over. It hurt his eyes, his head, and he vowed he'd never, ever eat or drink anything with liquor in it again.

Finally making it down to the docks the young man looked around and spotted Heihachi and ran to him. More like stumbled towards him, he just thought he was running. "Heihachi-san!"

"Whoa, hey, Toshirou-kun!" He practically had to catch the unsteady helmsman as he staggered over, looking distinctly worse for wear. Heihachi had to admit, yesterday's adventure with the liquor candies had given him the unforgettable memory of Toshirou giggling which he was going to enjoy for a good long while, but at the moment he thought he should spare a bit of sympathy. “You don’t look so good.”

He really, really didn’t. Toshirou’s skin was pale enough to rival the colour of his hair, and his half-shuttered eyes suggested the sunlight was giving him a serious headache. Heihachi supported his weight a little more firmly. “Did you drink that water?”

"You think?" Toshirou growled weakly. He knew he looked terrible, but he didn't want his friend to leave without saying goodbye. Putting a hand to his head he leaned on the older man. "Yes, but can you not talk so loud?" Everything was to loud, and bright at the moment. The water had helped, but it still felt like something had crawled into his mouth and died.

He didn't like that his friend had to leave, but at the same time he didn't like the thought of Ichimaru being anywhere near Heihachi. Jushirou could handle himself around the fox faced creep but the mechanic couldn't.

Heihachi couldn't help but snicker, but he obligingly kept it as quiet as possible. "You probably should have started with something a little easier than whiskey, even if it did come covered in chocolate."

Sincer Toshirou was already leaning on him anyway, and Heihachi didn't think he'd have too many other opportunities when Toshirou might not be in the best of moods to fight back, the mechanic wrapped his arms around the boy and gave him a proper hug. Even if it threatened to make Toshirou die of embarrassment he didn't care. "Now you'll take care of yourself, won't you? No more late night binge drinking with Shinjiro-san...and try not to get in too much more trouble with the Captain."
